Title: Using Other Psx Bios Files ...

Just curious if anybody has tried the other PSX bios files [ bins ] , I know of at least 4 different bios files that have been used on the PSX [ by Sony ] .

There are actually 12 different bios:

DTLH3000.BIN
DTLH3002.BIN
SCPH1000.BIN
SCPH1001.BIN
SCPH1002.BIN
SCPH5000.BIN
SCPH5500.BIN
SCPH5502.BIN
SCPH7000.BIN
SCPH7001.BIN
SCPH7003.BIN
SCPH7502.BIN

I've heard that 1001 and 7001 are the best for emulators, but I don't know about this port.

Some are from europe, some are from japan, and some are from america. I imagine that the later releases (higher numbers) have more compatibility, but don't quote me on that. Here is where each bios is from and there dates:

about the bios images ending in 0,1,2

0=jap
1=US
2=eur

Found this info on an emu site and the latest bios's are scph101 which was made in 2001 i think. its the psone bios for america
