I have been doing some research and found the Xecuter NAND-X kit. Any thoughts? Can I repair the unit using that tool? This tool also appears to have an added bonus of being able to leave the connections in place and easily connect your 360 without the need to re-solder. I am assuming moving forward I will need to use a tool like this because of the bad blocks on my system.
You will need some kind of nand reader/writer and the nand-x works well, you need to build an image that has the aud_clamp smc patch selected as that is the jtag wiring method your console has. Once you read the nand a few times and get consistent reads and build the correct freeboot image and then flash it back to your console it will boot to the dash correctly.
If you were able to boot into xell/xellous then it would have been possible to update without any soldering but since you borked it, thats not now possible.
