Have you tried reading the nand again 'today'? just incase something has changed.
If it has and you are sure your readings of the nand are valid you might as well write one of those back to the nand as that should restore it to the way it was before you proceed.
Edit: This is presuming that you haven't updated like you had intentions of doing, in that case you don't want to write anything at this stage. There is a rollback you can do if I remember correctly when a failed update is applied but I'm not sure of the procedure. I've never had to do it.
Also, have you checked that any wiring you have in place has not been disturbed, if in doubt remove it all and try booting.

Final note: You may not be aware that bad blocks are a common thing with nands and not regarded as faulty, you just need to make sure they are properly remapped to custom images before flashing.
Also, I'll let you in on a little secret. My jasper 512 had a bad block somewhere in the critical 64mb area when I jtagged it from new so I thought I'd try my luck and just flash an un-remapped XBR image on to it. All went well and I've done the same thing since. Whenever I read the nand for verification, it comes out clean. I may have been lucky and I doubt this would work for many so I don't advise it unless you have time to spare for research.
