a) What are the hardware specs on these? What DVD drive do they come with?
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) What positive/negative effect does this (the dev kit) have on doing any soft mods? Are they easier, or harder (since everything should be unlocked)

to my knowledge the only difference a dev kit has is its 128mb of ram and a pin header installed on the motherboard already

No your wrong on that one,there alot more different than a retail.You can read more here.

Hardware specs: 733 custom intel processor x86 compatable, 128 mb ram
DVD Drive: Should have a thomson, unless it was sent in for repair, then it can come back with anything.
Softmods: don't run softmods, they aren't necessary. You can get a bfm bios that will let you run retail games, look in the usual places.
