Post by: seipukgai2 on January 31, 2005, 01:24:00 PM
hi all im just wondering why the hasnt been a ported version of a P2P for xbox to run on the xbox, prehaps from the dashboard, or as a task while we play games.. i think with a dedicated hub/server its a great way to share pictures, files, maps, and other dashboards to each other.. sharing is caring;)

No need to post in multiple forums. And yes it's been considered, or was not considered depending on how you see it.  A search would've shown it's been mentionned plenty of times before... And we have yet to find a developper interested in such a project.  It would encourage piracy, and most are not interested in that.

There is a torrent client for XBMC in the form of a python script, have a look at that.

It would be nice, however even if it was soley made for sharing ''maps'' for Halo 2 for example, the maps wouldn't be all that was shared, it would soon turn into a Police Man's dream. It wouldn't be possible during a game, unless embedded into the bios...which tbh i don't see anyone wanting to do. Even the Xecuter lads...

And it would be cool for game saves also.

I'm one for cheats lol.

or an app that will let you pull from a web service like the skins in some dashes.
