Title: Nandpro Error 300 Programming Block - Help

Hey,

It's my first JTAG and after soldering following the freeboot guide I am getting a lot of Error 300..

Dumped the kv 3 times and they matched, have dumped the nand (some reading block errors but in the same places) and they match (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) What should I do now?

Did you do anything on the PC/plug stuff in to the same power source when you were writing?

No, just plugged it in - It is using the same power outlet. Should I try the command again? I am using the prepatced SMC for falcon (falcon.xellous.smc.bin - 1.28mb) - or should I use the falcon.smc.bin under SMC Files which is only 12kb? Didn't say which in the guide so used the first one

can it be interferens from my mobile, or because the laptop is hooked to my wireless router?

No - won't be interferance. You wanna use the 1.28mb pre-patched one (it's Xell, Xellous), and try writing again - see if you get the same errors.

I tried with my "own" patched smc following the guide and I didn't get error 300. But got error E79 when I turned it on, tried to nandpro: -w16 kv1.bin 1 and nandpro: -w16 kv1.bin 1 1 , still E79. So I am writing my full original nand.bin back, just to make sure the errors haven't screwed anything. Then I'll try again with my "own" smc first to see what happens.

I reflashed my nand1.bin - no errors. I then flashed free60.bin - no errors. However it turns on with E79 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Pin 4 og 7 are connected on the backside, no picture of that.

Just tried to write Xell with coolshrimps JTAG Tool, but that it didn't like - meaning it didn't turn on. Have restored to the orignal nand. However it starts up? Should it do that if I have jtagged it correctly with the aud_clamp?

E79 is more than likely a problem with your soldering as opposed to your NAND. Did you make sure to use switching diodes? Ensure this and resolder the 3 jtag wires

Tried again with the prepatched after I cleaned a little around the wires, got 3 red lights 1,3 and 4. So I flashed the original nand - now I get a regular green and the green circle but no picture on screen. What does that mean?

Some say that if the jtag is correctly installed it wouldn't start the normal nand. I am getting really frustrated  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/uhh.gif)

EDIT:

It's boots normally, was a AV-cable, but still can't get it j-tagged.

Checked the DB1F1 point with a multimeter, first touching the wire I soldered and pin 7 in J2D2, showed a result. However that just confirms the wires connected, so I instead of the wire at DB1F1, I used the D1F1 point above it, which I have read is connected to DB1F1 and that also showed it was connected. This is the toughest point to solder imo (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

So bottomline:
-I got bad blocks, however not in the first 50 blocks and they in the same places: http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/196/badblock.jpg
-The DB1F1 seems to be correctly soldered.
-I can boot my original nand with JTAG wires in place.
-I am using the AUD_CLAMP wiring with transistor and 2x10k resistors - no diodes! - FALCON
-I get error E79 when booting after writing free60.bin 0, happens both with prepatched and homemade smc from the guide.

You could try removing the resistors

If that doesn't work, you could try going back to the original jtag soldering.

I open my nand1.bin in flashtool 360 and it says bad KV? is it because of no cpu key?
