Thanks man for that. I've just removed the heatsinks pondering on this idea. I'm sure I don't need to put it back on right? I'm not gonna power it.
Am I also right to say that in the Jtag tuts i look for the command that reads the full nand i.e:
nandpro lpt: -r16 bla bla bla?
Thanks for the fast reply. I'm on my way to the electronics store. I'm a bit confused as I see some people soldering the diodes on the bottom of the motherboard and some on the top, so which is right? I think the top method is newer?
Thanks again
The diodes are for the JTAG that is required to boot Xell to get the CPU key that is needed to decrypt the KV for those that sell the KV's.
You wont be able to do any of that since your console wont boot. But you will be able to dump the nand.
What do you plan to do with the nand once you got it dumped?

Sell the key vault. Do I have to have the CPU key in order to sell the key vault?
Yes you do. And your system needs to be working to boot xell to get the CPU key.
The CPU key is needed to decrypt the KV. The KV does nobody any good without it being decrypted.
