Title: Xecuter Nand-x And Xenon 360 Issue
Post by: onisama on June 04, 2010, 08:25:00 AM
Thank you for taking your time to help me out!

I have a xenon 360 with a dashboard version 2.0.7371.0 manufactured in 2005/10/25. I used teamxecuter's nand-x on it and tried using your jtag tool to get a nand read multiple times and it came back the same each time, so I went ahead and tried to get my cpu key by using write xell but I get an error 79 and the lower right light on the xbox is red. When I restore the nand dump the xbox works fine but no matter what switch I use I can't seem to get my cpu key without getting that error.

Any helps is deeply appreciated!

Thank you!

I will resolder the whole thing again and hopefully that will fix it. I will reply back with my results.

I rechecked all points and as far as I can tell they all appear to work fine.

What baffles me is that when I use the nand read I got to remove Xell the xbox works fine, so doesnt that mean that my nand-x is properly installed? Afterall the xbox works fine in default mode its just that I have issues getting xell to show me my cpu key.

I guess I should rip out the nand-x solder kit and try it our a 4th time but I have to say I dont think that is the problem. Especially when I do a read I get zero errors like the previous poster got. So that should mean that the soldering should be fine but again im not a jtag expert.

are you using the old method with resisters or the new one with diodes?

If you are using diodes, make sure you have the polarity right.  If they are right, try the old resistor method.

I've had 2 Xenons that didn't like diodes at all, but worked perfectly with resistors.

I am using team xecuter's Nand-X kit.

Check J1F1 quick solder board is in the correct orientation, the first JTAG I did with NAND-X I put it the opposite way around and was getting E79, as soon as I corrected it booted staight away.
