Title: Lpt Cable Quit Working For Falcon After Reading Nand, Works Fine On Ja
Post by: jconnpow on May 12, 2010, 05:52:00 PM
I have a LPT Cable I have used for about 15 jtag's. I have resistors installed but never had the diode until today when I thought that may have been the cure to my problem, unfortunately it didn't work. Anyways NandPro won't see my xbox360, just searchs all the interfaces. First thing I did was test the cable, cable fine, then i resoldered the cable to the board. Then i desoldered it again, put diode on and tried flashing, same error. I decided to see if maybe the cable was messed up so I flashed a xenon and jasper and it worked great on those (both are jtag'd). I wasn't sure if their was an alternate point to connect cable to or if it was possible that I fried the point because i didn't have diode installed. Anyways I have done atleast 10 jtag's and i can solder very well so i'm confused at where to go from here too. Supposedly the 360 has E74 error but I can't even boot up my 360 now. Flashed xell without kv and its not booting. Would a USB spi  flasher work instead? I'd have to make one or order one (i generally make all my own tools/utilities/whatever) but I just don't know what i should do. I guess i'm going to start looking for alternate points to solder too. Any advice other than removing all resistors and trying to read/write? I'm just confused because i read the nand a few times, kv and config a few times and even wrote xell and xellous (ended up having to reflash xell because i had E79 errors and was attempting to reflash. Anyways any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Justin

I figured it out the other day, I had to erase part of the nand right as soon as i plugged the power cord into the 360. Falcon JTAG has been fully jtag-d, fixed up and sent back to customer. Hopefully if anyone else has problems this will work for ya. (i've seen many people report sucess)

Sounds like you flashed a Xenon version of XeLL to your Falcon.  Been there and done that (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

yep i was jtag-ing 4 boxes (3 were xenon's) and i think i slipped up or just bounced around on the floor enough that the wires touched while writing (normally i'm very careful)...but now i'm onto bigger projects....i want to code a brute force cpukey cracker for non-jtagable 360's so that people that buy 360's with drives thjat don't belong will be able to get the right dvd key and OSIG....plus i gotta try to fix 2 real screwy dvd drives for 2 stock 360's that have never been opened....fun fun.
