Title: Firmware Mod To Jtag Mod Help Please

Hey everyone,

1st off i hope this is in the right section... but anywho...

I have been out the scene for a while and recently came back when i read about the JTAG mod that can be done now. I have an original launch 360 that has never been on XBL and it has a firmware mod done to it allowing me to play my back-ups.

My question is: Do i need to revert back to the original dvd drive firmware before i perform the JTAG mod?

No, this hack has nothing to do with the dvd drive firmware.

Leave the drive alone.
Do ALOT more reading

Here is a hint.
Step 1 is to figure out what your dashboard version is and make sure it is less equal to or less then 2.0.7xxx

If you played any games that came out after about Sept 2009 you can't jtag anyhow.

I guess i could have clarified a little better... I have done a LOT of reading into the mod and know how to do the mod and i know my console is able to be modded. My dash is definitely less than 2.0.7xxx


I just never found anywhere where anyone had said that you did or did not have to flash back the FW.
