So my Xbox has a case of ADD, as its short term memory is terrible. Basically, whenever my system boots after being off for 5+ hours, it gets the 3 rings, with error code 0110. When I reboot, its fine. This only happens when the 360 is off for a while, which makes me think that its definitely a cold solder joint somewhere under the RAM or GPU. My question is, could I use this to my advantage? I've been seeing people getting a lil hesitant on flashing drives while connected to the console as opposed to a connectivity kit.
I guess my questions are, would it be beneficial to do the tray half open deal when I have the 3 rings. Cause the whole system powers up, but the dashboard doesn't load, and thus i figure that there is nothing that could be logged during a 3 ring boot. Has anyone else had this initial boot problem? any suggestions on fixes other then what my assumption is? Any input would be appreciated...

Let me re-phrase the question. Will my xbox 360 have the ability to notice a hardware status change during RROD? As in unplugging the dvd drive power cord when drive is opening/closing?
