Title: Any God Irons For For Read/write For The Nand?

Hey, just wondering... whats a good soldering iron for reading the nand, cause ive recently bought this one  http://www.thesource.ca/estore/Product.asp...product=6412030  but the first time ive used it, the tip went completely black and ended up screwin up one of my capacitors.

edit: any under $100 please...

i started with a $9 special, just got this a few weeks ago and it's been working great:

It sounds like you're doing something wrong because that iron should be fine. I use a £5 30W iron and it does the job fine. Make sure you use flux and continually clean the tip with a wet sponge when in use. Check out Youtube for soldering tutorials and practice on junk electronics before attempting anything on your expensive 360.

Im gonna try out that $9 Weller, it seems to have some good feedback.

Apparently, a lot of peoples tips are crapping out on them with the $12 iron I bought, so instead I might buy this nice one that'll last me a few years...http://www.cooperhandtools.com/brands/CF_Files/model_detail.cfm?upc=037103593610
