I flashed my xenon with the same setup, diodes no resisters and all. Now trying to flash a jasper and its keeps trying to read saying 0 reading block ect....
please help,
-
now Im just getting can not detect flash controller, and I have shortened the wires, only about 6 inches long
-
Check your connections and make sure the diode is on the right way black ring towards the board
-
I checked, and resolderd. Even used a multi meter, diode is face the right way. It is the same setup I used for xenon, and it worked great. Maybe I need to add the resisters for teh jasper ? begining to loose hope this is every going to work. been at it for 15 hours already..
-
just tried with the resistors, and the diode, checked with volt meter, still no dice.. I had flashed using this same pc, xenon, with no resistors, and one diode.. WTH. any suggestions ?
-
Got it working again, however still getthing the reading block error, sometimes its error: 0 reading block 0 and it keeps going on and on.
I have a 256mb jasper, and typed both -r16 command, and -r256?
anyone ? flash config is 00000400 ??

-
What type of Diode are you using? Same as your xenon ?
-
yes same as the xenon. I just re wired the whole, thing from scratch, and now i get error in diff way. First it says error: 127e reading block 0 and it gones on and on..
idk what to do anymore
strange thing is that the 360 actually turns on sometimes.
-
just soldered the diode directly on the board rather then the lpt cable, still same issue. i removed the diode completly, and I get no flash config tool found.. so i know i need the diode.

The flashconfig should be 008A3020 for a 256mb. There's obvious something wrong if the 360 boots without pressing the on/off button or using the controller. Does the console still work fine without anything attached? You should first test it without any modification and see if it works properly.

the 360 works fine, still, and according to free 60s guide, if the 360 lights turn on, then thats normal, and a good sign. Not the whole xbox, just the lights go on, which happens on some xboxs and is normal
