I'm finally attempting the JTAG hack on my falcon motherboard but I cant get the wire to adhere to the DB1F1 port. I asked my father, who is an electrician, and he said that there needs to be a hole there to solder to instead of just a dot on the PCB and that I should drill a small hole to get it to adhere to the copper imprinted on the PCB. This is the diagram Im using:pic
How did you guys overcome this problem (if you experienced it)?

thanks guys, one other thing that I noticed was that in the schematic Ive been following J2D2.2 is soldered to a pin under the board (i cant find the name of it) but in the thread that one of you two linked me to it shows that wire going to the RF unit (which Ive read I need since I have a falcon) so should I switch it? also In that same picture it shows a 330 ohm between the jumper on J2D2, I didnt put on in, should I?

I use the one on the RF board but either or will do
I didnt use the 330 ohm on my set up so i guess what ever works for you

Oh so im assuming either one of those ports will work? i desoldered the old connection and soldered it to point 2 on the RF unit since I remember people stressing that it needs to be done. Thats the thing I hate about all of this, half the stuff is trivial (you MIGHT need a resistor here if blah blah blah doesnt work) and theres so 4 different versions and slightly different methods for each, but hey I guess thats the stuff you have to deal with if you want to reap the benefits of it

It doesnt work at all
I tried setting my lpt port to AT, PS/2, EPP and ECP and nandpro kept saying it cant detect a flash chip, ill recheck/solder my connections tomorrow and try again...
