Hey guys,

I wanted to flash XBReboot to my Xenon xbox and readed out the nand three times. Two of them was identical so i feel secure. Than I extracted KeyVault and Config and wrote it to the XBR_Xenon_8955_1 after that i started the xbox and there was my first RROD. I tried to flash again with XBR but RROD. I tried to flash nand1.bin back but RROD.
My Screen is blank so i can't get some error number.
Pleas Help me, is my Xbox broken ?

1. Check original NAND dumps using 360FlashTool and Degraded (available from the usual places, and see the tut in my sig to get Degraded to run correctly).
2. If they're borked, use Redline99's NAND repair tool to relocate bad blocks.
3. Insert your fixed NAND dumps KV into XBR (pop config in there as well).
4. Flash XBR to NAND.
5. If this doesn't work, try only inserting KV to XBR.
6. If this still doesn't work, thoroughly check your soldering for the JTAG wires.

yea, i have the same problem... ughh.. What do you think of my nand1.bin dump.. Is it correct? I opened it up but I see nothing in the keyvault.. I flashed the modified one.. gave me red lights, then i tried flashing the original nand1 but same thing.. here is a pic

Second - the KV section will display nothing on a NAND dump unless you've put your CPU Key into the 360 Flash Tool via the "Keys" menu option. If you have your CPU key you check the box next to the CPU key option, input your key, and click OK, then re-open the NAND dump and viola, the KV section is populated.

However, since you can't boot XBR or Xell it's likely you don't have your CPU key.

Last - I see you did multiple NAND dumps. Did you compare them with each other to verify you had a good dump? The program I used was WinHex. I had to dump 4 times before I had two that matched, and even then I wanted more so I wrote a batch file to dump while I slept and compared those to the two that matched. LPT is a very dicey protocol so it's likely your first dump will not be a valid one.

Unfortunately if you don't have a good NAND dump from the original box there's not much you can do once you've overwritten it.

ughh yea, i only dumped 2 bins, they both matched. Looks like both of them were bad i guess. Thanks for you help.

Not necessarily.

There's still the potential that the flash went wrong with your two matching NANDs. Try to flash it again.

flashed my nand2.bin it worked and my xbox 360 fired up with the retail stuff in it.

Modified the xbr.bin with the nand2 files, Gives me error 79 and rrod. Am I modifying the falcon xbr wrong? I followed the directions in the guide.

Try this:
restore the orig. nand.bin Then follow all the steps except leave out the config.bin stuff just inject your rawkv.bin
This has worked for many so its worth a shot

nandpro nand1.bin: -r16 rawkv.bin 1 1
then
nandpro xbr.bin: -w16 rawkv.bin 1 1
after that
NandPro lpt: -w16 xbr.bin

remember to power cycle after flash (remove the power plug from the wall or xbox wait 15-30 sec. then boot up)

alright, reflashing the original nand back. Will report back in 2 hours after i do it your way, Thanks for the help. Pretty annoying that its doing this.

not sure but i believe there is a fresh falcon image on xbins its got a date of 12/12/09
Might want to try that too

yea just downloaded it, flashing now. Hopefully this time it will work.

Good thing to know that my nand Orig backup is fine though.

well i just tried it. same thing, do you think there is something wrong with the new file? Cause i noticed that I only tried the new file and not the older files.

Sorry I was away from the thread

E71 after a flash means the flash didn't take properly.
E79 means you've got a problem with your JTAG hack

Make sure you have your diodes pointing the right way and that you've got nothing cross-wired or touching.

hey, yea i know what you mean, i double checked each connection.. Right now im trying to write the older xbr that was on xbins. So if that doesnt work.. There is this thred someone made about how he was getting RROD. I get RROD sometimes and E79. He put a 330 ohm resister on his..

edit: yea, after the flash i get 3rrod.. after about 20 seconds of the middle green light blinking. Something is probably not connected right or something. Im gonna recheck the wires and put a 330ohm resister.

Hey,

i did all the things thwack sad. And i always got RROD. So i flashed my orginal nand-backup back and disconnect the JTAG and my xbox works again.
So i Thing my JTAG-Hack was wrong.
I used a BAT41 Diod for the "new xenon jtag-hack" with 2 diod instead of 3 resistors, is this the right diod ?

yea your jtag wires have nothing to do with being able to read and write to your nand(just your lpt wires do) but they are what makes xbr or xell boot
all your nandpro commands are correct
recheck your connections then try again

After flashing I got the RROD. I used someones advice and just wrote the Rawkv.bin to XBR and it worked! Im not sure exactly what Rawconfig does but I did notice it asked me to setup language/region/resolution when it booted. Everything works fine though.

ok i did some more testing

@xxpittbullxx: i think my jtag-connections are ok, because wenn i put a controller on the backside-usb i can boot xell ( it starts and sad vmlinuz not found ) but it start booting.

My Cx Section look like this:
CB: 1888 Pairing 0xDD70E8 LDV 0
CD: 1888 Patch 0: 7363 LDV 9
CE: 1888 Patch 1: 6717 LDV 8

Do i have to repack XBReboot, because i have CB: 1888 ? xbreboot is made for 1920 right ?

My aktual state is:
Power Button: E74
Controller on Backside: starting xell but vmlinuz not found ( but i didn't mind i want not to start linux i will start some XEXLoader )

but you can try the other image if the one your using isn't working for you
