I know I'm jumping ahead with this, but just thought I'd try and input a bit on this. I spent over an hour tracing those points on 2 scrap boards, 1 Xenon and 1 Zephyr.
Just thought I'd share my findings, if that's ok with some people...

X-hacker, sorry but i didn't mean to put a dampener on your efforts. Trust me, im also anticipating the future image releases, the only thing thats holding me back from doing the same is that i dont want to lose the warranty on my elite jasper (with 73xx kernel) until more information is released.
Have you tried using your alternative points yet? Please post any results.
