Ok, bought a broken 360 from ebay and fixed the 3rlod, turns out the drive wont read any of my discs (all originals !). I get the 'To Play This Disc Put It In An Xbox 360' screen. The Dashboard just displays as DVD Disc in tray.
As I was also provided with a disc with the containing 'orig.bin' , so I assumed something was wrong with the firmware. Like I said the drive is a samsung ms25, So I used iprep put it on a usb stick and dumped the drive.
Samtool reports the following
Original Firmware Version: Hitachi v78 [Spoofed Samsung Firmware]
iXtreme Firmware Version: MS28
And using the supplied orig.bin file
Original Firmware Version: MS25
iXtreme Firmware Version: MS28
All I want to do is get this drive back to its original firmware, Please can some one give advise.

Never mind, I worked out all I needed to do was rename my original fw to hacked.bin and flash it. Thanks to all the great info and tutorials on XS I now have a fully working cheapo 360 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
