Anybody flashed their drive using a laptop and an pcmcia slot SATA controller

They should be fine for hitachi drive's , you'll need to find a VIA 6241 chipset PCMIA for samsungs though . There's another one for laptops thats apparently good , if you live in the US look on newegg.com

All of the pcmcia style cards appear to have silicon chipsets not VIA ones.
Lots of those USB to SATA controllers around though, but I have a Samsung drive so it won't work.

My Thinkpad has the ICH7 Intel chipset.
Will it be possible to boot from USB and have the 360 connected directly to my SATA cable for my HDD on my Thinkpad?
