I purchased a from newegg item number 15-124-022 which is the HD CARD SYBA|SY-VIA-150 RTL. They clearly advertise it as having chipset VIA-VT6412L, even the box it comes in has the L clearly seen on the chip. You open the box and insead you recieve a VIA-VT6412A, which is the RAID version of the same card. Not sure if it makes a difference, but you will not get what you paid for. I swear if this A card causes me to have a bad dump unlike the L card because of the raid bullshit which I heard has caused issues for others, I will take the first flight out to Newegg and make the first customer service rep that I see consume this card without any water. I kid you not I will make them eat this fu*king card. Do yourself a favor, order it elsewhere. Newegg has more problems than you have hair on your balls. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/grr.gif)

Crap...that is exactly what happened to me (see the post below). I ordered it from Newegg and got the 6421A chipset. I couldn't flash at all with this card...let me know if you have better luck!

A Via chipset is a Via chipset... the A or L shouldn't matter.

i ordered the raid card from newegg and had no probs.
Just dont install the raid drivers or other software from cd mentioning raid. I did from the cd and I got some error I dont remember when trying to flash.
I removed the drivers, and did and google search for via drivers and installed those

Mine ended up working just fine....the first card I got was bad, but newegg sent me another one next day air and it worked on the first try.

Got the "A" version to work finally. Don't turn on your 360 until slax 2.1 boots. Make sure the cable is connected and that a real game is in the 360 HD. Hit eject on the 360 once at the spinning up disk message.
