I'm running 2 360's, one to keep on live and the other modded for backups.
Accepted the update on live system and it copied info to the HD because when I inserted the HD to my modded system to transfer game saves it automatically asked for an update. The modded system has never been connected to the network since modding fw.
no update, no game playing. So i transfered my profile to a memory card and removed HD, updates were no longer asked and games worked.
So has anyone taken the risk and updated their modded system via the HD? I'm not sure if M$ is detecting modded systems via HD thus affecting legit systems anywhere the HD is plugged into.
thx

yes i did. Been playing bioshock fine up till tonight. I get a dirty disk error now. When i unplug hdd, the game load fine. What should i do? delete the system update??

ok thanks for reply, so for now i won't update/plug in hard drive. I'll just move my profile to memory card and any game saves and keep the hd plugged into unmodded system.
as for deleting an update i'm not sure, i never checked to see if any update files were on the hd
