Title: Contradicting Posts

Hi pritesh brother here. i need to flash a samsung drive for a freind of mine. i got the first few steps covered but then there are contradicting posts as to what to do next.

1) open iprep and load ixtrem12.bin. select target drive and hit "do it"
2) get orig.bin  by doing "mtkflash r /m /sata orig.bin"
3) put the orig.bin in the ixtreme directory and rund the "make ixtreme firmware" cmd

now this is the bit where i dont no what to do.

do i do "mtkflash w /m /sata ix12.bin" as post 4 in the thread http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?s=&...t&p=4021875

or do i rename the "ix12.bin" to "hacked.bin" and then do " type   mtkflash w /m /sata hacked.bin" as post 3, bullet 13 in this thrad http://forums.xbox-scene.com/index.php?sho...p;#entry3937435

both were said by sosotiit so thats why im getting confused as i dont no what one to follow.

Doesn't matter... a filename is just a filename...


You are tellinmg mtkflash what firmware to use.. as long as its the right firmware you can nameit whatever you want...
