Hey guys I just got my 360"s firmware hacked (samsung drive) by a backyard dude that seems to know his stuff.. he does bout 5-10 boxes per day...Question is how safe is the firmware hack? Will my box brick up if I use live/new games/backups??Ive got my original firmware on disc too, the reason I did it so can keep my original games in mint condition/a guy at a mod shop said I should wait until a chip comes that plays multi region games..Any advice??? I'm a bit of a newb when it comes to the 360 any help appreciated!!
Does he copy your games as well?, cos the hacked firmware can only support games copied by that particular firmware, did you ask him what firmware he's going to put?, the earlier samsung ms25 can cause a E66/67 Brick on the fall update if your console was manufactured before that update as far as I know. There are always risks associated with the firmware flashing like getting your box bricked. It depends if it is an well known shop or business. If an update comes up from Xbox Live, check back on xbox-scene.com front page if there was any problems with the update or it could cause a brick etc, I don't think an update is gonna come for a while
