Wow, that really sux, have you got any coolnig divice on it? to much heat could of over heated the lenz in the DVD drive, Ring microsoft and they will walk you through some steps

I have the nyko intercooler but that does nothing but make noise. I`ll call ms and see what they are talking about.

Well if you still have warranty on your 360 then get it replaced,if not than you can just buy a new laser for your Samsung drive.

If you did not open it argue with ms and get some warranty

If you did open it you can try adjusting the pot on the laser.. If that doesnt work then a new laser or new dvd drive.

Sounds like the pot. adjustment needs to be adjusted, or has fallen off. Since CD-R's work fine, you can run a wire from each trace (ground not necessary) to from the CD potimiter to the DVD potimeter to fix, more than likely.
