here goes guys
i accidentally flashed a hitachi 46 drive with the hitachi 47d hached firmware
now since doing this the drive will no longer be recognised by windows and gives error 64 when connected to xbox360
I have the firmware and org.bin that was dumped when i did the flash so from what i can see is i have the orginal firmware but have no way of getting to flash back to the drive
i have tried a hot swap with another hitachi drive on my pc but this does not work so if anybody has any ideas then your help would be very much appreciated
thanks guys
ps i would of thought a few people might of done this so any suggestions please let me know
As of right now I don't think this is possible to reflash a bricked Hitachi drive..
I have the same problem and I've tried everything I could think of with no positive results. When I try to do the hotswap method with another good xbox 360 dvd drive or SATA HDD just to get it a recognized and a drive letter assigned, whenever I do the switch and try to flash the bad drive I always get the I/O error. The I/O is the communication channel among hardware devices. Somehow a bad flash screws up the dvd drive's ability to communicate between the two devices..
