I was also wondering if you can buy a replacement samsung drive that can be flashed and sit in your PC for the purpose of performing backups. It is seriously hard and expensive getting 360 games where I live and if I go and pay a heap of money for a game I want to make sure I can at least have some sort of backup of it. Also can anyone recommend a good drive for hotswapping. Something that is resonably hassle free ( I know I'll probably still have to pull it apart). I've tried hotswapping with both of the drives that I have, first using the eject with pin method that has been referred to in some posts and on the first drive I'm able to slide the tray out and back in without it spinning up but it seems like the drive doesn't lock the disc back into place when I slide the tray back in. I pulled the first drive apart so I could try and hotswap and make sure the disc is still locked into place but the part of the drive that the mechanism uses to make sure the disc stays in place is actually embedded in the lid which correct me if I'm wrong would mean that I've gotta hold the lid on the drive while it does the backup. The second drive actually looks as though it tries to read the disc when I use the pin (the drive light comes on and it tries to spin up). I would like a drive where you can just take the lid off and then lift the mechanism up and slide the other disc in so I don't have to put the lid back on. Sorry about the long post but any help would be greatly appreciated. If I'm not being clear enough or I'm outta place please just let me know. Thanks in advance
