Title: Couple Questions/ideas About Homebrew
Post by: Tfizzle on May 16, 2006, 03:13:00 PM
with the recent release of the modified firmware, i been thinking about homebrew.  obviously the firmware hack only allows a 1:1 copy of a game to be played but can the game be changed in any way what so ever?

i mean can certain files be changed and the game will still function or not?  basically what im getting at mostly has to do with pgr2 and pgr3.  but mainly pgr2.  as most of you know, there is a sort of mini game inside pgr2(also in 3).  its called geometry wars.  last time i checked, this game required a default.xbe to be launched correct?  so what are the possibilities that this could be replaced with some other program?  basically instead of launching geometry wars, you could launch xbmc.

now i know that none of what i just said is prolly not possible but its an idea and i wanted to share it with you guys.  i tried postin in the firmware hack thread but that was way to cluttered.

mods:  if needed, you can move this to a more appropriate forum.
