Title: Xbox1 Backups With Firmware Hack

Well I asked this question in a thread and no one answered.
Any idea if this new firmware hack for 360 will also allow emulated xbox1 games to run also?

I searched the forms over at XBH and found an answer to this question.

I too was also wanting to know.

"With the current firmware hack Xbox1 backups will not work"

This was quoted by Master-Hacker on the board.

also the hack requires a properly signed backup. And with 99% of the existing xbox 1 backups the media flags are patched invalidating the signature.

But couldn't you patch the media flags back to the ones the file was originally signed with? Wouldn't that validate the signature again?

sure you can make 1:1 copies fine. I was merely talking bout existing backups. And yeah I guess what is patched can be unpatched again if you are certain what bytes were changed you can always change em back.
