Hey came acrossed this last night, and wondered what the nfo meant about a source code being in it? Any ideas? Also, this is the first NTSC release, and wondered if pal releases work on a NTSC box?

Actually, Ridge Racers was the first ntsc release, but that doesn't matter.
This might be helpfull
-
well i havent examined the files yet (they arent in an iso by the way), but im assuming the source code would be in one of the two xex files? what the hell would a source code be doing in here and for what reasong?
p.s. so pal works in a ntsc machine? never would have thought that.
here are the file names.......
fullauto.xex
piLaunch
Media
default.xex
xlast.zip
smallFSource.zip
smallF.dat
rtdXenon
pitaLocal.psc
-
I dunno but this is strange:
piLaunch -> Coincidence ? lol
rtdXenon
And also, now another team suddenly knows how to rip.. Why not share it
-
okay maybe i should be a little more in depth, piLaunch and rtdXenon are folders and they contain the following files each.....
piLaunch
interface.xma
fontGameFullAuto.dds.hemiold
fontGameFullAuto.abc.euromodeold
testCube.dds
LevelLoadScreenE3.dds
LevelLoadScreen.dds
ContinueVulcan720.dds
fontDebug.dds
fontGameFullAuto.abc
ContinuePython.dds
fontGameFullAuto.dds
fontDebug.abc
piLogo.dds
pi.dds
fontbhigh24m.dds
fontGameFullAuto.dds.euromodeold
PressA.dds
piSound.wav
LoadScreen0.dds
loadscreen.dds
WaitScreen4_3.dds
WaitScreen16_9.dds
fontBhigh24m.abc
CarStart.wav
special_32.dds
SEGA.dds
LoadScreen1_480.dds
LoadScreen_black_480.dds
LoadScreen_black.dds
ContinueVulcan.dds
fontGameFullAuto.abc.hemiold
vshaders.dat
TitleScreen.dds
end.dds
ContinuePython720.dds
MenuScreen.dds
LoadScreen1.dds
LoadScreen0_480.dds
end_480.dds
and rtdXenon has
dw_piLX2.pix
textures.pit
fa_t613.pix
I don't understand how they could be ripping these unless they a)have dev kits (more likely) or b)hacked the firmwire of their pc drives. we all know how groups are, they want to be the only ones with the knowlege /power and that feeds their God complex. If anyone else has this release, can you find a source code?
-
hmm so we arent looking at a reliable group for this then? where the eff is this code at? ive been starring at characters for like 24 hours
--------hahhaha n/m im retarded----------------
-
I found a bunch of interesting stuff even when looking at the hex (ascii) of the xex's theres a bunch of stuff in there, but i dont know anything about extracting a source code
-
ok I wasn't going to post but noone seems to have noticed and i quote
"So, nobody cared to look in that smallFSource.zip then?
"
does the filename smallFSource mean nothing to you, as in Source?
-
I shouldn't have to keep going around saying this, but the PI dumps are reliable. The tool has existed for the xbox and continues to work for 360, no FTP necessary. Minor change was all that was needed. I hate to keep going around trying to explain it, but so few people even have a clue. So, sorry if you've seen me say this before.
-
i've seen you post this multiple times, but i kinda feel you are over simplifying it. if its so easy why can't someone not in a group post how to change the offsets for certain drives?
-
I am over simplifying it. It's more than just changing an offset. Firmware, drive, and an exe are involved. Just rest-assured that it does exist and since nobody here belongs to a group, there's no need to be able to dump anything, they'll do it for you...Arrrrrrrggghhhhhh matey.
-
ok crosseye i think u have told this like 10 times now... ?? we get it u need a exe and so on...
