I have successfully hacked the xbox 360 to run copied games, it also works to play backup xbox games as well. I have also run xbox mediacenter on the xbox360 and it works perfectly. You do not need a mod chip for this, it is a simple 1 wire mod. I have a picture of the hack and where to join to the chips. I need webspace to upload the image, I do not have webspace to upload the file.

I'm on xboxlive, the games work fine on that. For those that have not got an xbox yet, I recommend you to import a xbox 360 from Japan as they are much cheaper than in the USA and will be more avalible. When you recieve the xbox360, perform the mod and you'll save yourself alot of money. I believe the xbox360 will sell for $310 US in Japan.

no, you havent hacked the 360. youve mspainted a line onto a pic of a 360 board.
you dont even know what the chips do (the chip and the bigger chip isnt very reassuring)
how does it play backups, theres no way to dump them yet?
and finally, XBMC is for a completely different freaking archetecture.

YEA, I'm sure M$ spent thousands of dollars improving the xbox 360 security so you could mod it with one wire bridge.

I don't care if you don't believe me, I have copies of most of the games now and I'm very happy that I do not need to be buying software anymore. Anyway, if you want to play pirated games, get some copies of games and then perform the mod, I think you'll be pleasantly suprised. I'm just happy to help people, for someone to beable to play good games, you need an expensive computer, the xbox 360 is cheap, but the cost of the games are too high to afford. For the poor childern who can not afford video games, this is a godsend to them. Merry Christmas

What software do you put on the 360 to manage home brew code etc? Who managed to compile that code already, when we haven't even got a full memory map of the system and it's I/O etc. You can't run existing XBOX code on it you know, unless you hacked the emulator as well?

I suppose you wrote your own FTP host as well, and managed to decrypt and modify the TSOP and Kernel.

I was suprised too that the dumps work. I download the games off the internet and then burned the games to a disk, worked fine. The wire mod also allows pirated xbox software to run as well.

I assumed this might happen, alot of angry people are furious they were not smart enough to work it out themselves. It wasn't hard either, meaning the people who were trying to hack the xbox360 are dumb. I simply used a multimeter and tested the live connections on the motherboard, I kept testing for about 20 minutes until I found two voltages that were near enough the same and I joined them together and as I suspected, the voltage difference effects the xbox 360 security causing it to think all software is signed.

Odb718, your friend is smart. On this forum, people are constantly saying "when will the xbox360 be hacked", I have hacked it and released information, by granting everyones wish, and now that I hacked it, people are bitter and upset. Grow up people!.

I just recived a call from MS, they are very impressed with the work I have done on hacking the xbox360. They are paying for my flight to Redmond and they want me to help redesign the next revision of the xbox360 board so that the newer shipped xbox360's will be unhackable.

I am just waiting for his next post, where he claims that they have modified all boards, and released a patch over the net to the existing consoles, meaning that his miracle 1 wire mod no longer works... Wouldn't that be a shame, when he is clearly such a genius?
