I run XBMC on a Xbox over wireless G. PlayOn works well with Hulu, CBS, YouTube, but the Netflix doesn't work for me.
In the PlayOn support forums, folks are mentioning you have to install the Netflix video plugin on the comp that runs PlayOn so you can watch videos, but I'm still unable to.
I ran the previous PlayOn beta that showed CBS vids nicely on XBMC and X360. Haven't tried latest beta with X360, but I assume the same level of connectivity.
on a side note, Hulu looks GREAT on the 720p upconvert in XBMC to my LCD (which runs up to 1080p). I'll have to double check to see if the 1080i upconvert makes the stuff look okay...
I watched Heros off HULU last night and I must say it wasnt the best quality I have seen. If they are going to charge for this service they need to push HD content as well as cut the darn commercials. That was really lame.

Also anyone done this over a wireless G home router yet? Or with Vista 64?
Tried it yesterday on my Ultimate x64 with my 1024K cable line and neflix would just black screen and go back out. Just set up my 1.5Mbs DSL today and now I'm getting a media can't play error. Going to try 32 bit but the site is down...

wow. do you think it all? do you have any clue how much bandwidth HD content uses? not to mention the program you are using is not the content HOST. The commercials are put there by the content host NOT the playon software. The software is merely a middleware transcoder to allow you to access the content on external media hosts such as HULU, cbs and whatnot.
