Yup, for the next 24 hours or so you can add a high-def drive to your 360 for a whopping $80 shipped. Comes with King Kong right out of the box and then 5 more HD-DVDs via the mail. Keep in mind that if you track down UDF V2.5 that you can also use this drive on your PC. For those who prefer a cost effective standalone model, the Toshiba A3 runs $118.49 shipped right now and comes with The Bourne Identity and "300" right out of the box plus 5 more via mail. Undoubtedly I will get a bunch of gloom and doom from Blu-Ray fans for posting this but regardless both are great deals at this price point.

I would go for the Toshiba standalone. The price is so low it is on par with a standard upscaling DVD player.
I ordered one at £119 over here (UK) and they have me on backorder (no stock.) I may have a look around for an alternate supplier.

I'm with you on that one but for those who are really attached to their 360s or PCs this is an outstanding deal.

Thought this was the deal of the day and sold out before even 8am this morning? I just got an A3 yesterday for $121 on Amazon ($118 today), but I'll still pick up and add-on if I can get one for $100 or less.

It's now priced at $120 shipped.

just a quick one after all the boys talkin about HD-DVD games did we ever see any???
Got my PS3 here and TBH its good.. same quality as HD-DVD but for games its wank as the read times are tosh for games.... more HDD buffering and poor read times for direct play games... but for movies its great
