Title: Does The 360 Now Support Hd X264 Or Just Hd Wmv

i have a few backup movies  in wmv (hd) streaming to my 360 from a usb external hdd and i must admit its superb, but i have been hearing of a dashboard update that will allow the 360 to play streamed x264 hd files is this true !

Yes, this is true and to learn a little bit more about what is supported for video playback i recommend reading THIS.

There's a difference between a h.264 avi/mov/mp4 file and a x.264 mkv file.  The latter is not currently supported.
