A perhaps slightly overlooked feature of this fall's Xbox 360 update is the fact that Microsoft is now selling Sony BMG music videos on Live for 160 points a pop.

The first wave of videos hitting the U.S. features 40 videos from a diverse sampling of artists including Chris Brown, OutKast, Michael Jackson and Foo Fighters.

Sony BMG is a separate entity from Sony. Sony BMG is run by a the company Bertelsmann AG, which is a Partner with Microsoft, for a lot of things. So, it not really funny.

Of course... the entire Sony company isn't made up of fools. If you really think about it... MS and Sony do a lot of business together.. they just happen to start competing with each others in the game market. The game market is only a fraction of each of these companies. Sony owns software companies that work with MS as well as selling computers that come preloaded with Vista (and previously XP). If you got a way to sell something you do it... even if the company is a competitor some other way.

BTW.. those millions of Xbox gamers out there need a way to play their game console... and MS doesn't sell TVs.

Who the F** buys or even would watch a music video now anyway.  I cant wait to see the new godsmack or kid rock or beyonce video...J/k...  What a waste of time.
As far as people complaining about this content though...who cares, more content is better even if it sucks...just dont purchase anything and you'll be fine.

actually, not quite, you-tube's quality sucks...i only watch those vids on my iphone since that is about the right size for all of the videos anyways...

glad to see that MS has finally expanded their music video area of XBL even if it may not be very popular -  overall this is still progress...

i've always wanted to see music videos on the marketplace but for $2, i don't want em. 50 cents, i'll pay. maybe $1 if i'm having a good day and feel like spending money on random things. i  can record them all for free off tv and put them on my computer and stream them to the 360 or any device. but, people will pay, oh well  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

The funny thing is that music videos are intended for promotional purposes. Joe Blow tunes to MTV, sees a cool video with sexy girls, and buys the album. I guess the music industry has to recoup losses somehow...
