Title: 1080p Through Component

I believe 1080p requires the VGA cable, or HDMI if you've got a newer console.

It will display an HD-DVD movie at 1080p with component, but to upscale your SD-DVDs will require an HDMI or VGA connection.  wink.gif

Ok good so Hd-dvds will be outputed in 1080p but sd-dvds are still going to be only in 480p only.

Did i get it right ?

It only upscales SD-DVDs when using HDMI or VGA. If he is using component then it will dispaly an SD-DVD at 480p.
