Title: 360 Can't See Network Folders In Media Center

I'm using Linux Ubuntu as my OS, and running Windows MCE through VMWare.  All of my media files are in a folder inside Linux which I can access on Windows through the Network Places.  If I open my media center on my computer I can add shared folders from Linux.  If I try to add the same network folders on my 360 it doesn't see Linux on my network, all it sees is my Wifes computer.  Any ideas?  I don't want to have to copy media to my virtual machine every time i want to watch something.
