I have a Sony STR-K740P Audio Receiver and it has "DOLBY DIGITAL" "DTS" encoder , i used toslink cable between xbox360 and receiver , but i played the HD movies (DTS Audio) on my computer stream to xbox360, NO SOUND

although there is no option to physically enable dts on the 360, ive played many dvds in the 360 dts enabled and the little "DTS" symbol lights up on my reciever. seems to work fine for me.

It supports it through a video disc. I don't know about the computer part cause I got no media center. Only XP
BTW, does anyone know if Xbox 360 can stream videos from WINDOWS VISTA? That's what I'm getting. Don't know if Xbox will work on it though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

I don't think the Extender supports DTS.. the console itself does though.

The 360 supports DTS. I just checked out my 2 disc collection of Speed (purchased 4 yrs. ago) & I selected DTS from the menu on the DVD & when I played the movie, my old 5 yr old 100 Watt JVC receiver displayed DTS on the receiver. So the 360 does play DTS.
