well i received my x-bit after they sent it earlier this week, a little shady on the packaging side though. it was sent in a regular priority envelope, no padding whatsoever... hopefully the thing still works.

well it's been TWO WEEKS since they officially said it was shipped (5 xecuter 2.3b lites) and i have YET to receive anything. I've ordered TONS of things from the States (I'm in Canada), and nothing has EVER taken this long so I'm extremely suspicious and upset with this... I originally placed my order on Feb 3rd, so it's almost a FULL month and STILL nothing.. and of course my credit card HAS been charged...

I ordered on feb 8...they were out of stock of the xecutor lite 2.3 and my order wasn't shipped until feb 17th, to the wrong address. I emailed them and they said it had been attempted delivery. When I finally got the package my gun and controller were there...but no chip. I triple checked the box, and even looked in the packaging for the other items...no chip. My credit card was charged for one, and it was on the invoice, but I never received it. I emailed them to see what was going on and this was their response: "Dear Sir,
Was the package ripped open? We never send a envelope blank without the product.". So I replied the above. I guess we'll see what happens, but if this isn't resolved quickly and justly I'd suggest that you go somewhere else for chips.
I just got a response today from Gameshop...they shipped me a new lite 2.3 today! They made an error, and fixed it immediately. Better late than never I guess!
Received my 13 chips a few weeks ago in perfect condition and on time. I have 10 more on the way, will post how that comes out.

Ordered an XBIT and everything was a breeze, got it in 3 or 4 days... but unfortunately found out it was defective. Of course I am not blaming this on GameShop, the site is excellent and the shipment arrived fast, packaged nicely and everything included.
As far as the defective mod, the green LED on the mini USB board *never* illuminates. Through research I have found that there are a number of these floating around... a bad batch perhaps?
I've contacted GameShopUSA regarding the matter once via Email and once via AIM and have discussed it with them. Waiting to hear back from them on what can be done about this. I would hope a replacement or a refund. I'll report back when I find out.
UPDATE: After attempting to troubleshoot the chip, they have allowed me to return it for a replacement which has been shipped today! I assume this one should be in working order - these guys are trustworthy and back their products

Great service ordered Friday 3/26 came Monday 3/29. Cheaper than the other online retailers, but I was a little disappointed in the packaging. The chip came in a priority mail envelope and the mail man bent it in half to fit it into my mail box. I think a small cardboard box would be more appropriate, but as long as the chip works all is good.

Bought 2 X.B.I.T modchips and unbelievable both were broken. Unable to flash on 7 different computers. I got them about 3 months ago, wrote a ton of emails to gameshopusa and only got 1 responce that sayd: Dear sir i doubt that the chips are broken, it is rare that 2 are broken. What is that supposed to mean!!!!! ill send the chips in and u can check them urselves. I wrote back to that email and NO response, which was wat i expected. So in the end i got cheated out 105 bucks.
Dont buy from then it is to much of a hastle and you could lose 105 bucks!

Just made a order for a Xecuter2.3B lite+ and an extension cable. Looking forward to getting them will tell yall how it goes when i get them. Also from all of th ecomments it seems 50-50 on good orders and the ones with complications. But in the end the problem gets resovled and the consumer gets the product. That is why i picked them, because the chips actually get to the costumer which is more than I can say about other comapnies, where you will pay more and get nothing.

I just recived my modchip today after ordering it a week ago. Well it was more like 6 days ago since I order it about 8:30 pm cst. At first I was a little worried that it was not here on wensday or tuesday, but i realized thatt the order was processed on friday and shipped on saturday. So the package sat in the post office until monday and priority mail takes 2-3 days. so i didn't recive it untill today. In any event i am pleased with the order, I'm going to install the ship tomorrow and If there is a problem with it I will add it ot this post. For this time I do recomend this site, not because the chip took forever to get here, but the fact that it was cheap and the chip actually did get here.
I am very disapointed with gameshops customer support. I am very disapointed that I was robbed $105. I am very disapointed that you will not answer my emails. It is bad that you should let these things happen with your company. If you want more buyers I recommend getting good customer support and not to take money from anyone by refusing to contact them if they need help. With my experience I would not recommend your company to anyone. Please people who read this, game shop usa is bad business.

An update on my order. The Xenium chip I ordered was still out of stock so I canceled it to order somewhere else. I don't think they did anything wrong, just caught in a bad situation.
Ordered the Xenium chip with solderless adaptor on Friday (Order Number: 1762). Noticed that the chip was no longer on the website on Saturday so I e-mailed them asking why. They said they take the product down when it's out of stock and the solderless adaptor is out of stock so I should be getting it delivered middle of this week. I noticed the Xenium was back up on the website Tuesday. On Wednesday I noticed that the Xenium product page says: Shipping Status: Out of stock /ETA: 05/24/2004; Quantity: -1. I get an e-mail Wednesday night saying they processed my credit card. Then I get another e-mail saying to ignore the previous e-mail and my order is still being processed. I check my bank account and I've been charged for the order. Today, the product page says: Shipping Status: Out of stock /ETA: 07/06/2004. I e-mailed them last night asking when my order will ship. I don't like where this is going. I'll keep everyone updated.
Update: I got an e-mail saying that the chip will be shipped on Monday and they'll even upgrade my shipping.
Update: They said that the solderless adaptor has been delayed until Friday and that I was sent an e-mail about it, but I never received it.
Update: Friday came and went. E-mailed them late Friday to ask what was wrong and finally got an e-mail Tuesday. They said they don't have any solderless adaptors in stock. I could get the Xenium chip by itself, but I don't feel like soldering a wire in case I mess up. They said an e-mail was sent to me on Friday, but like the last time they said it, no e-mail ever showed up.
Update: I cancelled my order instead of just waiting for it to come back in stock.

I sent a couple of emails before ordering a Xenium Ice, and all my pre-sales questions were promptly answered. I ordered the chip on Tuesday (7/20), and was told it would ship taht day. I requested next day delivery.
The order was still "processing" Tuesday evening, so I sent an email checking on the status of the order. I received an email informing me that there had been problems processing my credit card, but that those issues were resolved. The chip was supposed to ship on Wednesday, but I have not yet received a tracking number.
I have sent three emails requesting a tracking number with no response, but I did send a pre-sales question regarding the SmartXX version 2 chips that was answered within 2 hours. All I want is to be informed of what is going on.

After 36 hours of no response to requests for a status on my order, I was informed that they were unable to ship via DHL Airborne Express due to flooding in the area.
If this is the case, why wasn't I notified? The last word from gameshopusa.com was that my order would definately ship Wednesday. Apparently, keeping customers informed is not a priority.
Now I'm looking at getting a chip that I paid for on Tuesday next Monday at the earliest. This is with overnight shipping. They could have shipped out the package via the US mail on Wednesday, and I would have gotten it earlier.

Still no chip. I received an email on Friday that said the order had shipped and a tracking number would be provided. GameShopUSA.com is full of crap. I wtill don't have a tracking number on an item that was supposedly shipped Friday.
I paid for overnight shipping last Tuesday, and I still don't have a chip 7 days later.
Do not do business with these guys. They have terrible customer service. The cheap price does not make up for the level of service in my opinion. If I don't have a chip tomorrow, I will be initiating a charge back on my credit card.
UPDATE:
My order arrived safely on August 6, exactly 2 weeks since they shipped my product.
I can say they did a great job, they answered all my questions.
The only problem was the shipping, it took 2 very long weeks but it was out of their control, customs can really lengthen the delivery time.
I'm happy now And I recommend this store to anyone.
It is safe to buy from them even if you are not from the US.

Xecuter 2.3b Lite
At first, I would've suggested Gameshopusa to anyone, but not now. I received my chip quickly and found it easy enough to install but while bank 1 of the chip had Cromwell on it, bank 2 had nothing. Unfortunately I did not find this out until after I had misflashed bank 1 (it was a successful flash but just a bad 512k bios). When I emailed Gameshopusa about this they had suggested that I could send it back to get the chip reflashed however I have sent multiple emails requesting the address I should return the chip to for reflash. To date, all of these emails have gone unanswered. Fast shipping and good prices but I'd suggest you try somewhere else as the support kills this place (too bad to, as am already planning on getting an X3... just not from gameshopusa now).

I ordered the chip on the 19th. However 5 days later they sent me a reply after i enquired about my xbit saying that their supplier discontinued the product. After several e-mail replies (they seem to only send 1 email a day to you, even if your reply immediatly after you get it, you'll have to wait 1 more day for the next reply),
my order status has got to credit card processed. I'll have to wait for my actual shipment, but i'd say the slow e-mail replies really got to me.
Then I emailed them and since they're xecuter 3's were not in in 2 weeks then I was like forget it and asked for a x2.3 Pro instead. Now it was July 16th but I had done some researching and I saw the Xenium Ice added to the site so I asked them to change my premod to a Xenium Ice on June 19th.
They said ok but I would have to wait for about a week because they had to desolder the x2.3 Pro and install the Xenium Ice. So I contacted them on AIM and they said they shipped it on July 26 using UPS Ground but I never got a tracking #. I tried to contact them starting on the 31st because I didn't they it would take that long consider that I live in Chicago and they are located in NYC.
To my suprise I stopped being able to contact them as easily when I asked for a tracking #. They were always away on AIM and didn't respond to my emails. So I waited the full 10 business day that it could come and then I really sent alot of messages to them on AIM on August 7th. It wasn't until I sent them angry messages that they responded.
I talked to a guy named John and he said that there was no way that it should've taken this long. So he checked my case and said that a guy named Ron had been in charge of my case and he wasn't really on top of it. He told me that Ron had never shipped my package and had listed a fake tracking #. Now John seemed like an honest guy and said he apologized for this and said he would take over my case and include a free accesory. He said they couldn't find the other unit so they would make me another xbox with a Xenium Ice and a Samsung DVD Drive.
I talked to him on August 10th and he said that the package had already shipped that day using Fedex 2 Day Express. Then just before I got to ask for a tracking number he put me on hold on AIM because he said he had a phone call. Another person came to AIM a little while later and informed me that John had a family emergency.
So I just figured I'd just wait but what do you know? On August 12th it didn't come or on August 13th. So I figured I'd try to contact them and guess what I get no response.
Every since August 10th I've been sending emails and trying to contact them on AIM and I get no response. All the time I see them on AIM and send messages to them but they just stay away and ignore my messages. There have been a couple times I've conacted someone on AIM but everytime I do contact someone they tell me that John is not there at the time and that he is in charge of my case. Everyone else says that they can't really help me with my case. Just today 8/28 they said John would be there from 10-12 and I said at least 15 messages between those times and no one responds all I get is there away message. They don't respond to any emails either I have sent at least 10 emails since August 10th and they have not responded to one of them.
Right now I'm sick of them giving me the runnaround since June 10th. I am furious and sick of their company and their unorganized and horrible customer service. Starting Monday I will contact the Better Business Bureau and inform them of the situation with GameShopUSA and will file claim. ALSO ANYONE WHO HAS ALSO HAD PROBLEMS WITH GAMSHOPUSA AND WOULD LIKE TO FILE A CLAIM AND CONTACT THE BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU PM ME.
I am going to try to take their company down. It is companies like theirs that ruin the modding scene. I HAVE WARNED YOU DO NOT BUY FROM GAMESHOPUSA because if there is a probably with your order they will not respond. If you plan to buy then I recommend BMMODS.

UPDATE: As of today, 10/7/04, gameshopusa still has not received my chip which I sent in for rma on 9/11/04. I stupidly sent the chip without a tracking number (busy trying to get moved to another state and all the things that go with that but that is still no excuse) and therefore it has apparently fallen into the black hole that is the USPS. My guess is that this is all said and done for me, no chip but life goes on. I still stand by my original statement that while this place has great prices and shipping, as well as great service before the sale, getting much in the way of service after the sale is pretty much impossible (unless you finally post on X-S and complain, thank you X-S for this forum). I am still planning on getting an X3 and I'm still planning on getting it somewhere other than gameshopusa.
What happened GameShopUSA they are some liars. I sent them a pm over a week ago with my information but I still haven't got a response. It has now been a 3 MONTHS since I paid them and I still haven't received my order. I'm glad some of the other people got their order because if something goes wrong with the order they don't respond to you. I ordered a premodded x-box on August 18th. A couple weeks later after sending two e-mail inquiries I finally recieved an e-mail requesting that a verify my credit card information. Which I did.
Since then I have sent about 3 more e-mails with no response.
My order is still "processing" when I look at it's status on the site. But it has been a month now and I've heard next to nothing about this transaction.
I do NOT recommend dealing with this place, as I feel they are unreliable.
Following up on previous comments on an order for a SmartXX ...
After posting on this forum, I got a reply from their Customer Service (3 days after placing order) saying that they were having orders verifying the credit card address with the shipping address.
Essentially they don't ship unless both addresses match exactly.
We went back and forth several times, with my changing the address with the credit card company and rechecking it (but I think the problem is that the shop only allows 1 line on the address) and finally my giving up and having it sent to a separate address with another credit card. In this they were very responsive responding to emails on the day of. A delay of one more day was caused because after all that, they were out of stock on the Xecuter Adapter.
By the time I could tell them to send the SmartXX anyways, there wasn't enough time for me to retrieve it at that address, so I had them send it overnight (only $6 more). Then they sent it that same day and it arrived the next day.
So all is good and I havea fully functionaly modded Xbox now!

A day or so after posting my previous message and sending a PM through this site, I got a response. Apparently they had problems with their mail server and that's why they didn't get back to me. I was also told that they didn't recieve my verified card information. So I resent my info via PM. I put the message tracker on all my PMs to see if/when they get read. I recieved a message saying that everything was cool now and my order would ship within 2 business days. That was on Sept. 17th. It has now been over a week and it still hasn't been shipped and all my PMs sent this week have not gotten a reply. Although the message tracker shows they were all read either the same day or the next day the messages were sent.
I thought things were looking up and I'd finally recieve my order sometime soon. But alas. I think that considering my order was placed on August 18th and it is now September 25th I should recieve some kind of discount or something. There is no reason it should take this long to recieve an order. Very poor customer service in my opinion. Which is a shame since several friends got their premod XBox from them. And they are very dissapointed that they recommended this site to me now. Unless something miraclous happens GameShopUSA may have lost 5 current customers not including myself.
EDIT: Sept 28th. Heard back from them today. Apparently the mod chip that was to be put into my xbox is now discontinued and no longer in stock. So they are waiting for the next version of thie chip which is going to come in sometime this week.
I am hoping to get out of my order before it gets as bad as some of the post I have read here.
I placed my order for a SmartXX v.2 on Friday morning (sept25/04) and when I got home from work the order was still pending from that morning! Now, when I placed the order the site said they had 51 in stock, but some how I ended up on the backorder list. I have asked that the order just be canceled since it's on back order and my card has not been charged. So I will ask again here in this form. Please cancel order number 2485. This is an update from my previous post:
I finally through and got to talk to someone last Tuesday (9/21/04) and I talked to a guy named Rodney and he said that my package was actually shipped about a month ago but it was returned because of invalid address. I don't know how this happened because I gave the representative the right address and I live in a big city. And if this was the case the should've sent my an email or something but I never got one.
Anyway I verified my shipping address and he said that he would foward this info to the shipping department. He said it would ship Wednesday and he would provide me with a tracking # that day. So Thursday comes and I still don't have an email from them and I suprisingly reached Rodney again on AIM. That day he said that he didn't provide me with a tracking # because the shipping department has not provided him with one. Since then I haven't heard a word from them.
How do you all expect someone do reach you when you don't respond to emails, don't respond to pm's, don't have a telephone # that people can reach you buy, and are always idle on AIM except for when the System Admin is on? GameShopUSA you really need to get it together because my 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY is coming up on 10/10/04. That is a shame. And the BBB contacted me to ask me did I want to charge you all. I said hold on because I thought you were sending it but now if I don't received it by my 4 MONTH ANNIVERSARY I will tell the BBB to follow through!

Also I am doin this as an install for someone so now I have to explain to them why it will take me extra time, and they dont have a phone number or any way of directly contacting them to ask them questions. I finally received my item from GameShopUSA about two weeks ago but I have been to busy to post. But anyway I am glad that I finally got my product from GameShop and I don't have to take legal action because I was about to.
Anyway, I am glad that I got my product but I will never order from GameShopUSA. Sure I got my product but after 4 MONTHS OF WAITING AND BS. I also had to notify the BBB to get them to send it. Another thing is that I never received a shipping notification or anything it came came to my doorstep.
Also my package didn't include everything they said it would. First of all, they shipped it USPS Regular instead of the FedEx 2 day express they promised me. Also my product didn't come with the free accessory that they offered me. Third, they didn't bother to install the Xenium external led on my xbox.
I would not order from them again or recommend them to anyone.
Last week (10/24) I ordered an instock xecuter 2.6, and have yet to see anything ship out. They said there were credit card problems, but all my information was given correctly including the information for an alternate shipping address. Their customer support is lacking since they NEVER email back to say or give any progress. I have yet to receive a non-automated response from them. I have bought from them several times in the past and have never had such problems. But recently from reading this thread it looks like their service has become very slow and delayed. So if you are looking for somewhat cheaper prices and have plenty of TIME, purchase from them. But if you expect your order to be shipped promptly and receive some kind of support I would tell you to go elsewhere.

My order was promptly billed and marked as shipped on the 21st, but for some reason it wasn't "acutally" shipped from their store untill the 23rd. At that point, It was marked as delivered the night of the 24th, but actually, I had to go pick it up at the DHL sorting location, and even then it was only because otherwise it would've been delivered monday the 27th. I have a version 1.6 xbox, I installed the LPC, the modchip etc and it booted great. THe chip would not flash, I could not update from the 4 month old 3325 bios that were still on the chip to the newest SOS (3331) that came out in early November. After extensive discussion with the people and devs over at the SmartXX forums, and in their IRC room, we came to the conclusion that the chip should be RMAd, as even if it was just the BIOS, I needed one with the most recent SOS.
I RMAd the chip (their adknowledgment that I wanted to do so took 2 days), sent it back(about 4 days, on DHL 2 day shipping). They recieved the package the morning of 1/4/05, according to the tracking info. The day of 1/7/04, I finally recieved an email notifying me that they had recieved it and that it "worked fully and functionally with their xbox" and that it would usually take about 2-3 days before they could ship a new one.
My response was to again (4th time in an email) explain why I had returned it as stated above, asked them kindly to please send me a chip with the newest SOS from the company of whose product they were selling, and to pelease do it in the fastest possible manner. I then thanked them for all of the above.
Now, it is 1/8/04, and I obviously won't hear from the company untill Monday, even though the above email was sent at about a half-hour after reciving their email.
So so far, the customer support has sucked. (Not even a damn phone number) Technical Support is Non-existant. Product did not work as advertised. Shipping took longer then method payed for. I would not reccomend them again, but that may well change if the whole matter can be resolved well.

I also ordered a smartxx chip. The shopping basket said they had them in stock. I get an email Monday stating they are out of stock and will recieve more Wendsday. Well its the following Monday and no chip. While I know that sometimes this is uncontrolable because of the supplier. I think I might choose a different store and different product. Their site should be updated to back ordered if they don't have any in stock.

I responded saying I'd rather wait if possible for a V9/V10, but if they didn't think they'd ever get another one then I could cope with a slimline.
3 days later(March 23rd) I get an email telling me my order has been cancelled. I checked their site and they now listed the V9/V10's as having 2 in stock and shipping immediately. I tried emailing them but never got a response, so on March 31st I placed the same order again, and this time I put in the comments field "If you are still out of V9/10's I'm willing to opt for a Slimline PSTwo with the laser fix and DMS4 installed."
On April 18th I sent another email asking for the status of my order. I recieved a response telling me that they had never recieved my response on whether or not I was willing to accept a slimline. I let that slide, assuming that they truly never did get my email for the first order, and then didn't notice the comments I had left for the second order. So I told them that yes, I was willing to accept a slimline. I waited another week, and on April 26st I emailed them again asking if there was a problem or if not how long I should expect to wait. I didn't recieve a response, then on April 30th I sent another emailing asking them the same thing, this time more insistently. Still no response, then I sent another email on May 3rd(I haven't recieved a response from them since 4-19-2005)
At this point I noticed that shortly after sending these emails I'd recieve a blank email in my mailbox very soon thereafter. Originally I didn't link this to my emailing GameShopUSA since I do a lot of emailing, but in viewing the patterns of these blank emails(No from, date, subject, header, etc. only a timestamp of recieved time) I noticed I recieved them all within 24 hours of emailing GameShopUSA asking for a status update. So I'm thinking maybe my provider(Comcast) is blocking their emails.
For this reason I'm posting here, hoping that they read this post and can either contact me here, or via PM's. It's been 60 days since I originally placed the order, but I still think GameShopUSA is the best, and I'm hoping they can still fill my order. I bought a premod Xbox w/Xenium Ice and another Xenium SP.ICE mod chip from GameShopUSA.com. I ordered late on a Thursday and received a very courteous phone call Friday morning that I had chosen a shipping method (Airborne Express) that was for mod chip only orders and not for premod xbox systems. They corrected the shipping method and adjusted the shipping charges accordingly and told me the order would ship out on Monday or Tuesday. My card was charged on Monday.
There was a delay in delivery of my package so I sent several emails asking for the status of my order. They returned all emails quickly (within 24 hrs, most within 2 hours) and always provided courteous professional replies. The emails all said the order had been shipped so I was starting to worry a little.
My package was eventually returned to GameShopUSA because of a mistake in the zip code. I accidentally input a zip code from a previous address. This was completely my fault and verified by checking the personal details of my account on GameShopUSA.com. I corrected the address on-line and sent an email to them with the correct zip code and the package was re-mailed the same day it came back to them and I received it shortly after.
The received shipment was packed very well. The Xbox was brand new as advertised and re-packed in original box. All controls, cables, and papers were still in original plastic and Xbox still had protective plastic film on it.
I opened the Xbox case to inspect the chip installation. The Xenium Ice was professionally installed with very clean solder joints and the additional external LED panel was even installed and mounted to the front panel of the Xbox. The system booted to the Xenium OS and worked perfectly. I already had a hard drive prepared to install in the systemem so I dropped it in and everything worked great. This was a great birthday gift for my daughter.
The prices were great as well.
I installed the SP.ICE mod chip into another xbox and it worked perfectly as well.
I highly recommend GameShopUSA and have already ordered two more Xenium Ice Mod Chips from them, Order Number: 3783. As long as they continue to provide this high level of service with quick courteous customer support at great prices they will continue to get my business.

Well the chip was marked in stock and it said "Ships within 24 hrs" So I ordered it. After 3 days my order status still said processing so I sent an email asking why and in response(maybe not in response) I got an e-mail back telling me my status had moved to "credit card processed."
The whole business week has passed and the chip still has not been shipped, the status still says "Credit card processed" and I have not received any notification of further progress.
I don't know what's going on over there but I am not happy with the service so far. If I had ordered from modchipman I would have had the chip in 3 days or less, as always This place is located about 30 miles from me in NY and is taking wayyyy too long.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to share my experience with gameshopusa, order #3854. I have included an e-mail log of the experience. You can read it if you want and draw your own conclusions, but I must say I can't recommend gameshopusa. I originally ordered an X3ce on Sept. 4, but after a month and still no chip, I cancelled. They said they were out of stock, but during this whole process the web site showed it as in stock. The only good thing about gameshopusa is that they won't charge your card until shipped, and you can cancel your order at any time before they ship. If I were to do business again with them, I would e-mail or call ahead and MAKE SURE they have the item in stock. I may try them again sometime in the future, as they do have good prices and other people have had good experiences with them, but I will be very cautious and quick to cancel if any problem comes up.

Just an update to my previous post. Let me start off by saying that gamshopUSA has the most apalling service I have EVER seen anywhere. McDonalds puts it to shame.
It has been NEARLY 40 DAYS and I still do not have my chip. What's worse is that I have been keeping in contact with them, and the process still isnt getting anywhere.
Here is the long long long story as best I can remember it. (I still have all of the AIM logs and E-mails but i'm not going to go through them right this second.)

As stated in the previous post, it took an excessively long time for them to process my order, and over a week to even ship the chip when it was marked "in stock, ships within 24 hours"
Chip received roughly 12 days late. Installed chip, and it receives no power. I checked, double checked and triple checked everything in my xbox, even connected an old X2.6 and everything checked out. The chip was a dud. I e-mailed them about it and in about 3 days they responded with an e-mail telling me to ship the chip back at my expense.
Not wanting to e-mail back and argue shipping, thus waiting longer, I complied. The chip was shipped back to their location which happens to be 10 minutes from me.
5 or so days pass and I e-mail them asking if they received the chip. They reply back they did indeed receive the return and my new chip would be shipping the next day.
About 5 more days and still no chip. At this point I e-mail them asking where it was and they respond asking me what my RMA# was. Well shucks I dont have an RMA#, I never got one because this store has a straight-out-of-china bootleg return system.
A couple days later I am contacted on AIM. He again asks for my RMA# again so that he can check if the return was received. Huh? I tell him that he sent me an e-mail confirming that they received already. He says "hold on I will brb, trying to find the package"
He then proceded to "brb" for 3 days.
I continually IM him on aim asking about my shipment and after the 3 days he responds saying that a new shipment of chips will be in on thursday(despite the stock on their site showing multiple available) and my chip will ship out that day or friday(today). I say make sure that it is shipped, and make sure to send me a tracking number so I will know it has actually been shipped.

I really can't give them any more time at this point. Plain and simple, If I do not receive my chip, or an e-mail with tracking number BY MONDAY. I will be filing mail fraud, a complaint with visa, the BBB, and I will be paying a personal visit to their location in East Hanover which so happens to be 10 miles from my location.
Bottom line, Don't mess with customers in your area. What's great about scamming people on the internet is that it is hard to take any action against the scammer. Being conveniently located nearby means I will have an easy time informing his police department.

After I sent an e-mail to GameshopUSA very similar to my last post, threatening to file complaints if my chip was not shipped within a few days, they responded back telling me that the chip is Out of Stock and discontinued despite showing 7 in stock on their site (Very much like chooch44's experience)
I think it's a little strange that a few days prior, they were telling me they had a shipment coming in.
They offered me another chip from their site but I declined, just wanting a refund. They said my money would be refunded the next day, but it took 5 days(I'm not talking about the processing time, i'm talking about the time it took them to actually do it.)
I finally got my refund and I am grateful I made it throgh their service alive. It was driving me insane.
So basically over the course of about 50 days, they have bullshitted me about 7 times, didn't do one thing right, and eventually owned up and told me that they couldn't complete my order.
Plain and simple, trying to deal with GameshopUSA was the biggest mistake I ever made shopping online and was the single worst experience I have ever had with service anywhere. I do not recommend buying from them unless you love to hear excuses and like to have your time wasted.
Gameshop gets a -1/10 from me because after this whole process, I actually lost money on the return shipping of my defective chip.

I placed an order with gameshopusa on Tuesday, Apr. 18th for a Xecuter 2.6 CE Lite and chose the overnight express option for $11 bucks extra and have yet to get confirmation of shipping or verification. I did receive an update on Wed. stating my order was processed 24 hours after I placed it and hoped to at least receive it on Thurs. but to no avail! I hate to be the impatient type but when you throw down extra greenbacks for shipping priority you expect it! It's kinda like paying for an executive's suite and getting a rollaway and a mint instead! If your gonna offer priority shipping then make it you priority to stand and deliver or find another hobby rather than wasting customer's time! We will see if I get a response from them today, if not.................

I was on this site and was about to put in my order but noticed that when I reached the checkout section of this site to enter my credit card information, the form was not secured. I'm a little reluctant to put in my order now because of this.

I placed an order with gameshopusa and so far so good. I had a problem with my CC info that I gave them, but I received a quick email from them so I could correct the problem, and the package was still shipped out in a timely fashion. I have my tracking number and anxiously await my chip's arrival. Great service so far.

I made a mistake though, i accidently placed an order for three executer 2.2pro i only wanted two. Sent them a mail about it and i hope they can change the order and refund some of the money.

Ordered on 08-03-03. Will update when chip arrives. The orderform was a bit confusing as there are two places it asks for your cc #. After skimming this thread it looks like there are two forms which correspond to two POS providers?
fearyaks: There are 2 credit card forms, one is via VeriSign but some people were having trouble so we added just Credit Card.
'Credit Card via VeriSign' option automatically processes your card and several people were getting declined even though all their information was right.
'Credit card' option we manually charge and your card isn't charged before the item ships. If your card is declined or address/zip does not match the billing we usually email the customer the same day and void the transaction till customer provides correct information.

Just for the record, I saw a few guys say they wished GameshopUSA accepted PayPal. I used my PayPal account; in fact, you can shop anywhere on line with your PayPal account. When you login to PayPal follow the SHOP then SHOP ANYWHERE link and it gives you a virtual debit card with all the details you need to spend your PayPal funds anywhere that accepts MasterCard.

Fast shipping and good service
Can someone from Gameshop USA please advise my steps for exchanging a defective Xecutor 2.2 Lite mod. I've contacted you guys by email and did not receive any response. I bought 3 Xecutor 2.2 Lite mods from you guys and one of them either does not have the Cromwell on it or it's pooched. Here's the problem, I've installed the other 2 with no problems at all, they are working just fine however, the 3rd one is giving me grief, after installation, I proceeded to flashing the Cromwell with X2 4977, but when I turn the xbox on, i do not get the Cromwell "please insert disk..." screen. There is nothing at all, just the 3 consecutive boots, then the flashing green/red light. I thought perhaps it might have been a soldering connection so I used a working mod from one of the other Xecutor 2.2 lite machine and it worked fine so it's not a soldering issue.
I would like to exchange this mod for another one please. Please PM me on the procedure I need to take in doing so. Thank you.

Ok...we are now in the second day. I've sent numerous emails to GameShopUsa and have called them 4 times and left a message, not to mention this post. I have yet to hear from them. I had very good service with GameShopUSA when I purchased several items but hope that this same service continues when one has problems or defective product.

X ecutor 2.2 lite pro came saturday. Nice job guys. Went in pretty smooth. At first had a little difficulty didnt know how sensitive it actually was but lined it up and perfect. Nice timing on the shipping. Nice to have questions answered to find out which is/was the best chip at the time for me. Jus all around nice experience. Would recommend to order from this company anytime! Class act.

Am wondering if anyone has ordered the Chameleon chip from GameShop?
If so, did it include the pin header?
I asked in my order if it did and their response was it did not include the pin header.
They might of thought that I was asking if it included the solderless adapter (which I did not want or order).
Also, I know with Easybuy2000, they say that all Chameleons ordered will be the 1.3 version. Is this the same with Gameshop? You never know if folks have left over stock from the first version of the Chameleon.
By the way...GameShop is the cheapest for Chameleon's...and when you include the $5 off coupon, no one comes close...That is (and I hope) it includes the pin header and its the 1.3 version of the Chameleon.

The pin header is not included, I don't think easybuy includes them either. Also this is the latest Chameleon compatible with the v1.3, you will see it says 'V1.3' on the pcb board. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask by PM, AIM, EMAIL.

The $15 for the extra shipping since the package was so large. Also then customs opened the package up. We do not mark any packages over $50 and definently replacements. You can call your local post office and get the green customs value sheet.
We flashed the chip with the X2 Programmer, probably the chip just had a bad flash through manufacturing.
Not a bad experience eventhought I have to re-order several times to make it right. These guys are a little bit paranoid about using credit card. Using verisign credit card serice is horrible. The reason I bought from them is X-S discount and US based seller. Your store is in my #3 list and I will buy only if SMT or RMC is outta stock. Thanks.

Hello, Can someone from Gameshop tell me what I need to do to replace a faulty Xecutor 2.2 Pro Chip and Switch? I've sent 2 emails over the past weekend. One from the site and one to the email address in my order confirmation and I haven't gotten a reply. I ordered two Xecutor 2.2 pro chips. I installed the first chip without a hitch but the 2nd chip does not boot to the Cromwell bios or ask for a boot disk, it just goes straight to the ms dashboard even after being flashed I don't even get a flashing green/red. When I take the good chip out of my first Xbox and put it into the 2nd one, I'm able to boot to the 4977 bios so I know the soldering job is on point. Also the switch is way to loose with the bad mod chip while the one that works has tension in it when you switch from enable to disable.
Please pm me as soon as you can and let me know what the steps are to get the faulty Xecutor 2.2 Pro replaced.

I placed my order on the 17th of September and after some time had past I sent an IM to them about my order.
Apparently it was shipped two days after my order was placed. Well the post office is usually pretty good at sending mail or packages nationwide in about 2 to 3 days. Well it has been almost 5 post office working day since my order was shipped.
With no responses to e-mails and maybe another IM message to them I could get some answers. I am definitly NOT going to order from this site again.
Here is some suggestions to the owner of this site:
1. Respond to e-mails about orders already placed and money already in your hand.
2. Give a tracking number with e-mail receipt.
3. I think mainly just ship the order shortly after you have recieved the money.

We also gave you an 'extra' adapter because of the mix-up which was a bonus. Maybe you haven't received it because shipping over the weekend may take an extra day.

I have shipped hundreds of packages via USPS Priority and have never had them slowed down by shipping over the weekend. Packages take two to three days regardless and it's already been four days, that doesn't even include the day it was shipped because I don't know what time of day it was shipped.
I will contact you tomorrow as soon as the mail comes if they are not in the mail tomorrow. If they are not in the mail I will need you to send them via an overnight service, I don't want you to try to schedule for overnight delivery, I want you to have them sent via overnight. If you cannot do that then I expect an immediate refund, otherwise Ill contact my credit card company to take care of the matter.

I placed an order last Wednesday the 17th and it was shipped the 18th of September 2003. Its Thursday the 25th of September and I still haven't received my chip.
As a side note, I ordered another chip from a different site on Friday the 19th of September and received it Monday the 22nd of September.
I finally did get my order today. It seems odd but there is a seperate label on my package that has no price on it and it's dated 09/23/03.
Anyhow I'll have more to say later as I am in the middle of some things right now.
I ordered my X-ecuter 2.2 Lite Plus - sunday nite .. shipped the next day, and still nothing. The last update according to USPS is that it was scanned on 9/22, and nothing after that. So much for quick delivery in the same state.

Edit: BTW, Low-Fat-Al, that's a continuous message. That won't update until it's actually delivered. Don't ask why that's just how USPS does their "tracking". It's bunk, I agree. You gain no information whatsoever from checking that page, because by the time it's delivered and the page is updated to "delivered" you already know it's delivered, otherwise it wouldn't have been delivered. It's the result of doing it online, I guess. If you drop it off at a Post Office at the very least it says "Package recieved on this date, at this location" but when you do it online it just says electronically notified. Anyways, it's not his fault in this case, that's just lousy USPS service.

my experience so far...
Ordered Monday and never heard anything about it being shipped, so I emailed them Thursday. They claimed they had sent an email on Tuesday (which I never received) asking to verify my CC exp date. I replied to verify the date, and their response Friday night was that it would be shipped out today.
I'm usually willing to give vendors the benefit of the doubt on minor problems like a CC exp date, but it looks like a number of people are having problems getting their orders in a timely manner. I hope my order actually was shipped out today and I'll get it next week...I'll post what happens.

Well, im disputing this with my credit card company. Ive asked for tracking numbers for days and im getting no response to e-mails and barely a response in AOL Instant Messanger. Ive also tried calling the number that my credit card company has for the charge and no answer.

We have received word from the post office, their electronic system was down last week before, the packages were recently sent. People should begin to receive their orders by this week. I am also not sure about these guys. I ordered a XGA adaptor on Saturday 27 September, 2003 and it took them forever to process it with no emails explaining why.
After a lot of bitching on my part we finally got it to a status of shipped on 10/13/2003.
Guess what. STILL HAVEN'T RECEIVED ANYTHING.
Also ordered a mod chip on Monday 13 October, 2003 and the status is still Processing. When i asked them about it, they say that it has been shipped, yet how long does it really take.
I was very impressed with this company the first time i ordered, i received the order within a week. But now this crap, and twice. I will never order from here again, unless they make this up to me. I do not recommend this site to anyone.
sunrat204: All your orders have been shipped, the XGA box may take longer since it is a larger package. Also your last order has been shipped, we do not update processing to shipping for global orders because of customs or till they hit customs we may change the status to shipping.
madcap1: Our premods take 3-4 days to make and test, we were hit with a few newer Xbox's so we had to upgrade the bios to the newer versions. We are sorry for this, also your premod is ready to ship but we received about 3 various emails and 1 saying to cancel the order? If you want my buisness, find out what is the status on my DMS chip and don't tell me it's been shipped, and also make it up to me by some sort of discount.
This really is not a way to run a company.

I ordered my Chip on Oct. 13, and I still have nothing and my order still says processing. I ordered 5 mod chips from System-mods on friday Oct. 31, and I received them today.
You obviously don't want my buisness. Cancle the order #410, refund the money (or i will dispute charges to the credit card) and i wish you luck running such a shitty buisness.
Problem here to I ordered a chip 5 or 6 weeks ago and was told it would arrive in 2-5 business days, which it hasnt. There was a confirmation of order in my inbox, which I printed but lost it during the move. I e-mailed gameshopusa.com to ask about my order and am waiting for a reply. The strange thing is that when I looked in my order history it had nothing. I will update what ends up happening here. I am really hoping it is an honest and traceable mistake because I already paid the bill or I would be able to cancel payment.
I am not accusing anybody of ripping me off yet, because I understand that orders can get lost and do in any business. I also understand that even without my order number they should be able to track my order with my credit card number or my log in name. Its all a mater of if they chose to do this.
If everything works out I will give my endorsement to Gameshopusa.com because it proves to me that when problems arise they are able to make things right. If not I guess I will eat my loss, in the understanding that you always take a chance when you are not buying from a brick and mortar retail store. I will just take my business elsewhere.
LOL, I do run my own small business and it would funny to turn the situation over to my credit department even though it was only a 50 some odd dollar.

Before I start this to rip GameShopUSA apart I have to say I've ordered from them 2 times previous to this and had absolutely no problems at all. Both of the previous orders were for modchips (as is the order I'm fuming about). I ordered the product and had it in 3-4 days, great shipping and I never had to deal with anyone from their staff because things were processed fast.
Now, onto the bad part.
I placed an order on the 8th of Oct. and I still don't have the chip. Even worse, they haven't even physically shipped the order yet. But I'm getting slightly ahead of myself, let me start from the absolute beginning.
I'm a chip installer and I don't quite do the volume that I need to order multiple chips so I end up ordering one at a time for my customers. I ordered an xecutor 2.2 pro from system-mods and on that count I screwed up, my customer wanted a LITE so I emailed gameshopUSA to change the chip on my order. I checked the next day and saw a new email about my order being updated. It reflected that my order had been processed and it still showed the xecuter 2.2 PRO. I rechecked the website with the order number and it still showed the PRO. I replied to them and told them to please fix it or cancel the order and I would re-order the correct chip.
The reply email I got was that it was already changed and it made it sound like I missed something.. here's the exact reply:
Dear Sir,
You were shipped a Lite 2.2 and a cross link cable, you didn't get our email? You were only charged $44.98.

In short.. no I didn't get an email, and I seriously doubt there WAS an email. Emails don't just get lost like that, they either don't get sent or they get sent to an invalid address.
Okay, so I can look past the lie now that my order is correct and I'm getting the chip that my customer wants. I recieve a tracking number and check on it through usps.com and it says that USPS was electronically notified that this item would be shipped. To this day it still says just that, the item is waiting to be shipped.
I emailed GameshopUSA about this order not being physically shipped and that I needed it shipped and this was the reply:

We hope this answers your questions, we think because of the past holiday it may have delayed the mail.

This absolutely infuriated me. As if I couldn't read english on the USPS.com site that clearly says the item hasn't been shipped, they send me a reply that says I should have read their FAQ that says... guess what... the item hasn't shipped yet. I was well aware of this before which is Why I specifially said to ship the item. So I sent them an Ultimatum on Wed. the 12th. to ship the chip by Friday or don't ship it at all and refund my money. Well, it's the 17th and The USPS website still says the chip hasn't shipped, and I still don't have my money.
My advice to others thinking about using GameShopUSA.com:

1. Don't lie to your customers
2. Don't charge a credit card until you have PHYSICALLY shipped the product
3. Don't try to sell items that you don't have in stock (This is the only conclusion I can come up with as to why I don't have my customer's chip)
4. If in fact it was something you didn't have in stock them make sure the customer knows it is a PRE-ORDER and they will be waiting for days and possibly weeks for the item to be shipped out.
5. I should never, and I mean NEVER have to apologize to MY customers for YOUR lack of service.
Now, Please look up order #468 and refund my money NOW. My customer has already placed an order with www.system-mods.com and hopefully he won't have as many problems with them as I've had with ya'll. I'm extremely lucky that he hasn't dropped me as the installer altogether due to this fiasco and you can have my guarantee that right now I will never be contacting gameshopUSA to order any other products.

Yes, I finally received my shipment. However, I'm still burned on how little communication there was. I was given a tracking number totally different from the actual one and that lead me to believe that things hadn't been shipped. For your own good you should communicate better with your customers.
Thanks for sending out the chip and crossover cable, everything worked beautifully but I just wanted some better communication from you.

Whats up? I ordered an Xecuter Lite + online and after processing my card information a few days ago, I haven't heard anything back. When I ordered it said they were in stock, and now it says -3 available... No one let me know if mine has been processed or is even available. I picked this site because many boasted on how quick it was, but now I'm not so sure. I'm still waiting so I'll post when I know more.

Well, I recommended this company before and when I needed - I placed additional orders for two more Chameleons. BTW, they were selling their remaining stock for only $25.99 - I bought two of them.
I placed my first order on Wednesday 11/26 in the afternoon...then my brother wanted his XBOX done so I placed an order for a second one in the evening. Received an email on Thanksgiving day - 11/27 that the orders were shipped. Given the holidays - I was rather surprised that I received both chips today 12/3 (Less than a week and thats including Thanksgiving weekend!!).

I bought two chips. One is working fine. One is giving Xmas light. I tried every process to make it works but none work. My last conclusion is BAD CHIP. How can I exchange? Is there customer service available? I filled out contact form on your website but got no reply. I know that it could the LPC problem but I have tested all connections. Everything is fine. Ordered my X-ecuter 2.3B Lite Plus Dec 17 when they said they would have stock on the 22nd and that the chip would arrive before the 24th.
When Dec 22nd arrived, they said they would get stock on the 24th (they dropped the 24th as an arrival date obviously).
The 24th arrived and my order is still "processing". ETA of the chips had moved to Dec 30.
I received no emails of any of this info. I had to go to their website to find this out.
I did get a good price on it though. But if I don't get the product, then it doesn't matter how cheap it is.
I'm considering ordering from this company as they list the Xecuter 2.3B LITE as in stock - I emailed them to confirm this and hope to hear back from them soon. I think I'll give them a shot if they respond in a timely manner.

I thank you for your offer of next day shipment for my order but I have cancelled it.
Had your website been updated and working properly I would have been able to get my chips in time but shipping them to me next week does not help me.
This has been extremely disappointing for me since by no incorrect action of my own, I end up with a delayed order and have to make my own customers wait that I am doing installs for.
I don't have an issue with delays due to the holidays but instead of putting my order at the end of the queue, you should have made things right by putting me back in the queue that I had started at with orders that would have been fulfilled by this current shipment. At the very least, earlier notification of the fact that my order would not be fulfilled on time would have been proper.
