Title: What Format/size Does 360 Rip Cd's To?
Post by: xboxmodder4life on December 07, 2005, 06:48:00 AM
like with the xbox1 some of the harddrive has to be used for caching and other system partions. So you in the end lose about 7gigs. This has been gone over many times in other topics

Caches use RAM at the expense of loading times in the core systems, how the game handles the HD is purely up to the developer though. I'm sure some games in the future will be HD only.

Music would probably be ripped to 128 WMA (M$'s audio format). I guess typical size would be 80MB per album or less? Try ripping to your PC in that format, that'll be the approximate space taken. Just a guess though smile.gif

128 WMA would be nowhere near 80mb for a whole cd.

To clear up some space in the last menu on the 360 dash is settings, go to memory and click hard drive and go to videos, they have about 3 gigs I think it was of just some random crud on it...  tongue.gif
