It was a big plus that he was right in central toronto- not more than a 5 minute drive from my place!
When i got there he was friendly, modded my box in no time, threw on some apps and walked me through a few things.
All in all a great experience and i'll definitely be sending my friends to him in the future. Thumbs up!

Here's how it went. I emailed him late afternoon, got an email back at around 7:15 PM. Gave him a call, very friendly, very knowledgeable. He said he had someone else dropping their XBOX off, so he couldn't guarantee it would be done that evening, but I could come by anyway. Dropped the XBOX off at 7:45 PM (he's about 15 min. away). Really nice guy. There was indeed another guy there, who was having his box done. Again, he demonstrated that he's a real pro, made sure that I felt totally comfortable leaving the XBOX with him. Said he'd give me a call when it was ready, either that night or the next evening. Went home. Got a call around 9:15 PM -- XBOX is modded (Xecuter 2.3B lite), tested and ready to go. Jump back in the car, get there around 9:30. Everything is good to go. Chatted for a bit, remembered that I could use a modified .ini file for EvoX -- he emailed it to me as we were talking. I got Home around 10. Everything worked as promised (he even tightened up a few loose cable connections that he noticed inside the box -- I have a refurb from EB).
Cost: $90CAN (included the chip, install & offered extras)
Turnaround : 10/10 (90 minutes from drop off -- with another guy there before me!)
Service : 10/10
Overall : 11/10 -- bonus for the friendly and helpful environment.
I'll be sending more business his way.

Jason is an great installer, super friendly, helpful and profesional, and at a very reasonable price.
Also, he provided alot of help for this newbie, even after he did the install.
I would recommend going to him for sure.
I managed to change my video settings from NTSC to PAL by accident, and I couldn't see anything. Jason helped me fix this the very next day, and got everything working back to normal FAST!!! Word of advice, don't change your video settings!!!!!!!
Get him to mod your box!

He did a good job. I've removed my mobo a few times already cuz I was testing out some stuff and the mod is still nice and secure (good solder job).
I was at his place while he did the mod and it was all good.
I've referred one person already to him and his was modded good too.

10/10, Highly recommended -- Anyone in the GTA looking to get their Xbox modded should go to Jason, period.
Pros:
- Fair price
- Chip was sealed, and its legit, for anyone worried about fake xeniums
- Nice Guy
- Close proximity to the TTC -- only a 5-10 minute walk from Eglinton station.
- Knows his stuff, very good soldering job and install with very little problems
- Threw on some extra apps and emulators as an extra
- Explained everything very well
Cons:
- I had a bit of trouble getting into the building (it's an apartment) because the buzzer wasnt working, I had to ask someone from the building to let me in; but thats a very minor problem.
- Giant stack of beer bottles in his apartment... ALL EMPTY!!! :( :P ;)

i already went through one new shipment of chips... there is another arriving within days now.. some are spoken for but i will have some extra Xenium ICE available... i also have a huge order of X2's coming in soon..
It's taking me so long to get chips from my supplier... about 2 weeks per order.. grrr

. I'm sure I would ahve taken atlest 20 minutes to get all of it out. Then the rest of time was just spend loading all the software while having a few laughs. He spent a great deal of time explaining what each application does and how he was gonna soder the chip in and all. Heck he even threw in some extra applications and taught me how to ftp into the xbox. His cat is cool too. 
All in all; anyone looking to have their xbox modded should go to Jason. Best prices I found after looking everywhere for more than two weeks in mississauga and toronto. I will definately recommend him to all of my friends and other unknown people looking to get their xbox's modded. GREAT JOB MAN! He deserves an A+++. I'm definately planning to take my friends back to him and get my hard-drive upgraded too in the near future. Final Statement: If your looking to get your xbox modded, go to Jason!!!

Well, anyways, Jason stuck right by me. He looked on ebay, contacted all of his clients and finally we worked out a compromise. For less than $100, I got a new, working xbox, one controller and some C-R-A-Z-Y programs.
This guy just wouldn't quit. He would not let me leave unsatisfied. Overall, I would recommend Jason to ANYONE with an xbox!

I wonder if you are going to have Xecuter X3 in your stock when it's available and provide X3 Moding Service. If you are, can you tell me how much it would be? (approximately)
If you are not planning to have it in your stock, is it possible to order it by myself and ask you to mod the chip? In that case how much would it be?
I was going to mod my Xbox but just found out that my xbox is v1.6.
I really don't think it is a good idea since I have absolutely no exp on modding.

to answer your questions..
Yes i plan to order some new Xecuters in stock.
It looks like there may even be a X2.6 on the way. and the X3.
So why exactly Xecuter would release two new chips is beyond me.
Or if you wanted to grab your own chip I would be more than happy to install it.
The v1.6 boxes are not easy to mod for unexperienced people.
There are an extra 10 solder points in the LPC rebuild which are connected to some very small points. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE EVEN ATTEMPT IT WITHOUT EXCELLENT SOLDERING SKILLS AND THE RIGHT EQUIPMENT.
I will be on vacation from Sept. 12th - Sept. 22
But hopefully when i return the new Xecuter chip(s) will be available.

VERY EXPERIENCED, I installed my chip myself to come across error codes and such. He helped me with everything thru msn, and even sent me Slayers.

Just wanted to give everyone an update for some modchips
Xenium ICE and Xecuter 3 chips should be arriving shortly.
The Xeniums are currently "lost" in CanadaPost's Warehouse somewhere.
I'm trying to track them down.
Xecuter 3's have been shipped from my supplier.. the first package is in Mississauga now. Should arrive sometime this week.
I have some Xecuter 2.6's in stock now if you are looking for a 'low-cost' mod option. $90 installed.

Had my box modded with the X3 chip + 200gig HDD a few days ago by Jason. It's been running beautifully ever since - and the drive is half full already ;-)
Very flexible - After a need to reschedule, and then being late due to traffic Jason was still able to fit me in. Dropped off the box, grabbed a quick bite and it was done when I got back.
If you're in the area, Jason is the man to see. HIGHLY recommended!!

I tried installing the solderless xecuter2.6 and while doing so managed to break the trace leading from the D0. Thanks to Jasons extra time and care he was able to fix my trace, and the solder in the rest of the chip.
Anyone who is considering on moding your XBOX, and who lives in the GTA...It is worth the drive to have Jason do the work. It will be done right and fast.
Thanks again Jason for raising my XBOX out of the grave.

Excellent Service, Excellent Quality, Excellent Price!!! I stopped by to see Jason today. He modded my xbox on the spot. He tested everything before opening the case, installed the chip (very clean job), and tested everything after - it worked like a charm. He then flashed the chip BIOS, then asked me which dashboard I wanted and installed that (along with all the other requisite apps). A quick, but comprehensive tutorial of everything followed and off I went.
I am 100% satisfied and recommend Jason to everyone!

Do not hesititate to send him your stuff by mail, he is completely trustworthy
I send him my gear solely based on the reviews in his thread. He always responded to emails very quickly. He kept me in the loop about each step of the process. He gave me a timeline of when everything would be done and he stuck to it. He mailed me my tracking number when he sent the box back. He packaged everything very neatly & carefully. He even updated all of the apps on my hard drive.
I cannot recommend him enough. If anyone wants more details about the transaction, do not hesitate to PM me.

so far so good,my ps2 is working like magic (he installed a magic V KX+ chip on it,so pardon the pun ) AND THAT WAS HIS FIRST ATTEMPT AT MODDING A SLIM PStwo!this guy is smooth ya'll!!!
jROC works like a ninja...using stealth technology or something...cuz when i look at my now modded ps2 i can't see a trace of it being opened up and worked on!
Amazing.
Highly recommended...best of all this guy don't take a whole lot for his work(it's only 50 bucks CND...in florida my locals would charge ~$45USD for this same service
)So anyway,next time i be in toronto and have something to mod or whatever this is the guy im gonna go to!
and all you ps2 guys out there looking to get your playstaions done,this man is your saviour!

Glad that ps2 slim is working like a charm.
Just remember if the console ever freezes.. dive like a champ and poweroff that mofo right away.
If not say bye bye to the laser most likely.

went to his house, and he modded everything right in front of me. very professional, knows what he's doing, and helped with any questions i had.
he made sure i knew how to use the apps, and made sure everything was working before i left. he said if anything goes wrong, just contact him back.
so excellent modder, excellent guy to go to. highly recommended.

Had Jason take a look and he called me back the next day and replaced the power supply.
Great job. Easy to arrange meeting up. I've referred two other people to him before (but this is my first time dealing with him directly) and they both had good experiences.
