Right on guys. I am not going anywhere, I am an Xbox modding addict, so I couldn't stop if I wanted to. Too much satisfaction helping people get their box together
feflicker you still doing Mod Installs/Repairs?
Let me know my friend messed up his x3 install.
thx as always
Hey everyone, things have been slow lately, Xbox's getting harder to come by
In the meantime, I went ahead and sent a request to have my installers post updated, and yes, I now officially (even though some of you sneaky mofo's have already contacted me and got yours done) have added Xbox360 services!
I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who came to me for their Xbox 1 needs, and let you all know that I can help you with your 360 as well \
As always, it is best to contact me via email, at: feflicker AT hotmail.com.
Just updated my prices and some of the info in this post...
Modding in AZ has been very slow! I was doing 2-3 mods a week in Jersey, down to 1 a month here in AZ!
If you are in the Phoenix Metro area, shoot me a PM and lets get your xbox modded!
Regardless of where you are, if you are looking for an installer, we can do this through the mail too.
glad to have you in arizona feflicker, i'm in peoria myself, about 30 minutes away from you but all freeway. i suck at soldering, so if i need anything done, i will contact you.

"Flash Samsung Drive: $40"
Doesn't it only cost $20 for the card to do it?
Actually, with a little diligence you could probably find a compatible SATA card for $10.
There is a lot more involved in flashing a drive than just having the compatible hardware though. I charge for my time, my guarantee of work, the risk involved, etc. Sometimes I have to do the "rubber band mod" to get a drive working, or tweak a pot, etc. Before you leave you see it work, or it is free, bottom line.
I charge what I feel makes providing the service worth my time. If anyone feels the pricing is unfair they are more than free to look for another installer who charges cheaper, does not bother me at all. Also, if I were to charge $10, or $20, or some other really low price, I would be inundated with requests for my service, mainly by kiddies. I factor that into my pricing as well.
Finally, if anyone needs help because they would like to try and do the mod themselves, I'll help where I can as well.

Fef has a real career outside of this so think about it for a min.
He has to spend time opening up your 360, do the flash, put it back together, check it 5 times over so everything is 100% working, last but DEFINITELY not least...putting up with people's crap and be a generous host when you come over.
i think 40 is very fair for this. he doesnt charge extra when you ask him for tips and all that crap. if he wanted to he can charge 40, do his job, and is not obligated to tell you what's going on. his service to you is absolutely VIP status.
on top of everything he's been here for a very long time so he wont f0ck u over. if you're gonna want cheaper service then go send it to some 15 year old for 10 bux and flip a coin to see if he jacks your sh!t.
FEF!!!!
my modchips for the wii finally arrived and guess what?? I GOTS ME a 360 w/hd over the weekend. YESSSS.
time for you to flash it!!!!!!
--MSG--, thanks for the kind words bro. I'm on your Wii's and your 360
I am no longer offering any services on X-S. If I have done something for you in the past, contact me and if I remember you I might be able to help you, but other than that consider me retired... It was fun while it lasted, just don't have the spare time any longer, nor the willingness to take on the risk(s) involved!
Updated my prices and info again... Things are still slow back here in AZ. The few mod-jobs I have gotten have mostly been friends of friends.
I just want to say thanks to the people that have contacted me for modding services thusfar.
If you are thinking about modding your xbox, or have friends that want there xbox modded, and you don't feel like doing it, shoot me a PM. I guarantee my work and will do everything I can to do the best mod possible... Why order a "Matrix" and try it yourself, only to end up having problems, when you can pay someone a nominal fee and get an X2 soldered in with a pin-header
So why wait! Get it modded now!
I highly recommend feflicker!! Fast, Affordable, Quality Service!!
I am very new to the xbox scene and had many questions, he helped me in every way he could. Thanks again for all your help Feflicker. I will definitely be letting my friends know that you do quality, trustworthy work!
Thanks!
Glad I could help
:D
I just wanted to add my two cents about my recent experience with Feflicker.
For someone new to the scene I could no think of a better person to use and than Feflicker. He was fast, resonable, and most importantly informative. He answered all my email in a very timely manner and delivered on his promise.
I would HIGHLY recommend anyone thinking about this and need help, to seek out Feflicker.
I will be sending all my friends to him!
Thanks again for all your help.
You're welcome "fijimark". Hope you enjoy your newly modded xbox
If you have questions or anything, let me know!
He did a great job on the installation - all switches are firmly affixed, wires are unobtrusive, and the system boots without complaint whether the chip is enabled or not. Solid work.
(And yes, he asked me to post here, but he did a good job, so why not?)

Look at these prices and they don't even include the parts! $20 for the 007 TSOP flash and you don't even use your own memcard/game?
You gotta be kidding! |
I am not kidding. I have NEVER had a complaint about pricing.
Here is what you get for the $20:
- Take apart and re-assemble the xbox.
- Soldering the points to enable write to TSOP.
- Flashing the chip.
- Install EvoX and Apps to HDD.
- Full Backup of C & E (data cd).
- EvoX Emergency Boot CD.
- Whatever other "help" I can give.
Not to mention the risk I take opening someone elses xbox, working on it, etc. (Remember, if I break it, I buy it -- luckily I have never broken one). On top of that, I am taking the risk of doing business with someone whom I do not know. That in itself can be scary at times.
I don't have a memory card, so that is why it is required. If someone doesn't have the game I could always rent it. It is just easier if they have the parts. I added the TSOP flash by popular demand. I don't really like doing it, I was just helping some people out.
In addition, you are dealing with a member of X-S who has been helping people for over 6 months doing installs. You get the confidence that it will be done right, first try.
I end up spending over an hour, as you can see above, on the xbox. I ask $20 for that time. That is less than what I make at my real job in an hour.
Before you crap on someones post think about what you are saying/doing. It is your money, if you don't think the price is fair, move on!

anyways this weekend i will bring my xbox to you for services (i think my buddy told ya already) i'm pretty sure the power supply in it got jacked. but yea i'll let you handle that. it's a version 1.0. i was wondering if you had extra exec. 2.2 mods cuz i'd want you to fix that system and have you mod it too.
lates.

I got your friends x-killer mod installed and working (even added it to my list of services)... Everything looks good on that, so he should be happy
I don't have any power supplies or chips for sale, but I have enough laying around to atleast figure out what the problem is, and then help you order any parts you need... I recommend modchipman.com for an X2.2Lite chip if you are looking for a chip (they have fair prices, ship fast and have chips in stock!)
Hopefully we will have your xbox up soon as well
What kind of Mod is this? I have seen one that has:
1. Put in a disc and doesn't play until you select an added thing to the main menu
2. Burn Games and Dvd's to an installed Hard Drive so you don't need the disc. The games can also be deleted.
3. Had a different Music Player.
4. Had choice of installing NES, SNES, Playstaition, or Dreamcast Emulator with EVERY game to that system.
Do you have Chips that do that? And Also, what happens in in time, let's say a year, it just totally busts because of the chips? And what would be the estimated cost for all that I listed above.
oh my gosh. guys look at his price it practically says all that.
..........good luck running dc games on the xbox
if the mod busts in a year. ........simply say "fly xbock fly" and drop the system out the window.
I will come to you if i ever need anything else with my xbox

Thank you so much feflicker for installing my mod chip for such a low price. I was just about to return my xbox and buy a premod til i found you. I just left my xbox at your house one night and picked it up the next day, very fast results.

Thanks... No problem. I will email you later with some more info that may interest you

Yep, all that pretty much
If it breaks a year later there is nothing anyone can really do. I would try to help you fix it if I could, but I won't make any "warranties" other than when you get receive it, it will be working.
feflicker:
i was wondering if you do ps2 mod installs?
i'm gettin me a broken ps2 this weekend for rather cheap and everything works but it has a blown fuse in it that you have to solder (my friend says). he'll show me what to do but i dont solder so i was wondering if you're up for that and/or soldering a mod for ps2. thx and hopefully you can help me with the solding that blown fuse.
feflicker:
please check your pm.
thx.
hey bro, ive spent about 5 hours trying to get this damned x2.2 lite + installed. i can get all the lights to work (albeit backwards, the d0 light will only come on when the chip is disabled), but my box reboots twice and then frags everytime i boot with the chip enabled. i know there is nothing wrong with the box as it boots normally when the chip is either removed or disabled.
so im thinking that the bios that came on the chip is either bad or non-existant. that, or the chip itself is bad. i live in scottsdale (68th st. and indian school), and wonder if you could give me a hand with this. i have no problem paying you $20 for an install, just let me know when and where!!!
i wonder sometimes how many people are actually in the mod scene in AZ.
feflicker:
sorry bro this is just a heads up. i cant make it friday night as i am late as crap already but saturday i will make it with my ps2 and my xb. thx.
QUOTE |
feflicker i have one more question to a 2.2pro mod.d0 you use the pogo pin adapter or do you solder the cables?
|
I always solder it in with the pin-header on the lpc bus, that is my preference... I Solder a wire to d0 as well...
feflicker,
I have a old xbox 1.0 I tried to install a homebrew mod chip 29 wire. and I lifted some pads do u think you are able to repair it? if not are you able to take off the memory if it is not fixable and add the 64mb to my newer machine I have now. I use a matrix chip now, and I would like a few thing done to my newer xbox also. I live in tuscon.
I have a friend that live's near you in peoria. I taking a vacation in a couple of weeks and maybe we could hook up my e-mail is [email protected]
maybe before I come out there in a couple weeks we could talk by phone if that's ok.

I have never soldered in the RAM before, but quite frankly, I don't think I want to try it. I hope you understand, too much risk.
There is someone on the forum, I think one of the Xbox-Linux guys, who lives in Texas that has done this several times. Just make a post and I think you might even be able to get it done for free
As far as lifted traces, all you can really do is try to bridge the traces with 32 gauge wire, and hope it works. I can look at that for you if you want. And the new, working xbox, I can probably help you out there as well. Just PM me with details, that way we aren't hashing an entire deal out in this thread
how much for some LEDs in the controller plugs? i got 2 sets(4 controller plugs) i want done. 2 green and 2 blue. let me know. pm me
. anyways see you this weekend (i will drop off that broken ps2).
oh yea if you dont mind ethan will be coming along with me he's the one that got his x killer modded i think he has a question or two. oh ....and he wants his 30 gig installed too.
see you soon.
hmmm I am going to be in the scottsdale area in a few weeks and I was wondering how much for some repairs I damaged my xbox trying to mod it and now all I get is a black screen even when the chip is removed no ms dash nothing and also the installation of an x2.2
QUOTE |
feflicker i have quastion.can you do anything about a Disk error other than switching out the Drive ? |
Hard disk? Is the drive locked? You could always boot off of an evox dvd and try to fix it (if the software is the problem)...

feflicker do you have modified samsungs drives (616t) |

Fef:
.......i was gonna ask again cuz we keep on forgetting.....what is that fan thing called again and what voltage? thx. see you in two weeks.
btw...our xbox gets to 140 for the mobo heat so we definitely will get that fan add on.
Here is what you need to up your fan voltage
Just make sure the fan connector is attached to the Yellow wire (12v), not the red (5v)! [as see in the pic]
Yeah, get your temps down. Try to get mobo to 110, cpu to 130, or better and your xbox will last a lot longer
sorry for missunderstanding o mean the dvd Drive.sorry for that
QUOTE |
sorry for missunderstanding o mean the dvd Drive.sorry for that |
Depends... If you are getting errors using new retail discs, then yes. Otherwise it could be the brand of your media, the app you are using to make the iso, burning software, or the burner itself...
. anyways thx alot for the help over the phone and going out of your way. see you in two weeks.
.....btw....it was the powercord and not the video cord. but it's cool cuz i have thousands of power cords heh.
I like the 12v mod. The noise doesn't bother me since I have surround sound cranked when I play xbox anyway
edit:
fef:
i am really really sorry i just found that cord. i have multiple dc systems and some of those cords are 3rd party and i did find the official xb one laying with all the other misc. cords. me

Fef:
i thought this was something to post. cdr-w's do work pretty good but i also tried out original vcds from asia (they're regular cdrs but have silver buttom) do work too. they dont with dvdx but they work with the media player and when it was reading it, it never even struggled or made any loud struggling noises. just thought that was interesting (and my thompson wont read cd-rs btw like stated)
Those drives can be strange at times. No rhyme or reason!
