feflicker modded my box about a week or so ago, and i am very pleased.  dropped off the box and picked it up later that day all ready to go.  i chose the xenium as my chip and a 120GB maxtor as the hdd.  i didnt know this, but he also backed up everything that was on my original hdd to my new hdd, so all my halo game settings and stuff were still there!  i was very excited to see this, as i didnt ask for it.  very fast very high quality service here.  he'll be hearing from my friends.

PLEASE READ ALL THIS BEFORE CONTACTING ME! THANKS!

======================
S _ E _ R _ V _ I _ C _ E _ S
======================

1. You will need to get me your Xbox for a (1) day period. We will need to meet at my work (Scottsdale) or at my home (Phoenix) to make the exchanges (or a mutually acceptable location). (You can also mail your Xbox to me if you prefer...) In some cases, you can drop it by my home, and come back 1-2 hours later to pick it up (if it makes you feel more comfortable...)!

2. Charges are as follows:

Installs (XBOX):
---------------------------------------------

- Install/Upgrade Hard Drive: $10
- Install/Upgrade Hard Drive (Keep Gamesaves & Soundtracks): $15

- X1/X2Lite/X2Pro Install (Pin Header): $20
- X2.6 Install (Pin Header): $25
- X3 Install (Pin Header): $25
- Xenium (w/ Pin Header): $20
- SmartXX (w/ Pin Header): $20
- X-Killer Install (w/ Pin Header + Bios): $25
- Aladdin Install (w/ Pin Header + Bios): $25
- DuoX Install (w/ Pin Header + Bios): $25
- Matrix Install (w/ Bios): $20
- Matrix Install (Same as above but Soldered): $30
- Chameleon Install (w/ All Extra Connections and Bios): $25

- Flash TSOP: $20
- Flash TSOP (Dual Boot w/ Live Support): $30 - Discontinued - Read Why!

- V1.6 LPC Bus Re-Link*: $5
- Other Chips: Ask

* All 1.6 Xbox's require the Bus Re-Link. This charge is added on top of the standard cost of installing the chip.

Options (XBOX):
----------------------------------------------

- Install External Switch (old chips): $5
- Install/Upgrade Dashboard: $5 (No Charge with Chip Install)
- Wire Install (X1/X2/X3): $5

Installs (PS2) ****NEW SERVICE****:
----------------------------------------------

- DISCONTINUED - too much of a pain, not enough reward. I don't get a lot of PS2 requests anyway...

3. Charges *do not* include parts. If you pay me up front, I will be more than happy to do the ordering for you, if not, you will need to supply all the parts, or the money for the cost of the part. (modchip, hard drive, toggle switch, etc.) I do not keep chips "in-stock", so I do have to order them if you wish to pay me for the chip rather than order it yourself (you must pay me up front for the supplies that I am asked to order).

4. I do not take time to peel off the warranty stickers like a surgeon. I simply use an x-acto knife to cut through the sticker.

5. This operation *does* void your warranty on the machine, and after the machine has been verified to be in working order, I am *NOT* responsible for what happens to the Xbox. (This should go without saying, but...)

6. I will do this through the mail (UPS/FedEx) if you wish, but damage caused in shipment is not my responsibility. I recommend paying for insurance, just incase. Shipping charges are not my responsibility either. (Again, should go without saying...) Please keep in mind that you should ship in the smallest box possible, as "dimensional weight" can really make this expensive...

7. I guarantee my work. Your Xbox will be in good hands! It won't come back with lifted traces, burn marks, etc.

8. Repair Service: PM me with questions on repairs. Depending on what the problem is I may be able to help. Generally I charge $10 to troubleshoot, and then give you an estimate on what it will take to fix it. At that point you are responsible for parts, etc. If I end up doing the repair, then the $10 is dropped and we will agree on a *fair* price for the whole job.

About LED's, Case-Modding, etc:
--------------------------------------------------

I am not currently performing case mods, LED installs, etc. I am only focusing on modchips, hdd upgrades, etc. To be honest, the main reason is that it is very hard to price these types of things. Case-mods take a lot of time and care to come out looking nice. As I charge around $20 an hour for my labor services, I am put in a strange position when I am asking $30 for some LED's that I put in... If you really want LED's, Cathodes, etc I will do them for you, but just keep these things in mind!

I hope this covers most of the basic questions... As always, PM me or email me with any additional questions! Please read the FAQ below for more info on modding in general...

====================
F_A_Q
====================

1. What hard drive can I use?
You need a standard IDE ATA133, ATA100, or ATA66 hard drive. 5400 RPM drives are nice if you can find them, if not 7200 RPM drives also work. Note: You cannot use one of the new Serial ATA drives (SATA)!

2. What brand of hard drive is best?
I recommend Maxtor and Seagate. I have had too many problems with Western Digital to recommend them any longer. If you want to use the Xbox for Live, the drive needs to be "lockable". Consult the drive matrix to make sure the drive is lockable before you purchase it if this is a requirement!

3. What size hard drive can I use?
Any size over 8GB will work. The 120GB barrier was broken a long time ago. Buy a 350GB if you want!

4. What modchip should I buy?
I recommend X-Ecuter's X2.6CE & X3CE. I also recommend the Xenium Ice and the SmartXX.

5. Where should I buy my modchip?
I recommend Modchipman.com.

6. What about Emulators?
I do have Emulators available, but they are NOT part of the standard hard drive load. Ask me more about this over email if you are interested.

7. Do you sell games?
No.

8. What Apps do I get with my upgraded HDD?
EvoX Dash (or Avalaunch, MXM, UnleashX), BoxPlorer, Config Magic, DVD2Xbox, DVDX2, LinksBoks, X2 Config, XBMC, XBMP2, XCommander, & Xpad.

9. Should I get a "Solder-less" modchip?
No. I don't recommend it, especially if you are paying an installer. The best install method is to solder it in using a Pin-Header.

Let me say that Feflicker is a great modder who knows exactly what he is doing.  Today I went with a friend who was getting his box modded.  Feflicker explained to me what he was doing on it and answered a few of the ?s I had. He had the entire thing done in about 35 minutes.  This was the 4th xbox I have had people send to him and all of them work perfectly.  He also gave me a hard drive/evox install dvd that worked perfectly which allowed me to install 2 hard drives of my friends today.

If you live in Arizona or anywhere else, send your box to him

This means that if you are in the U.S., it doesn't matter where you are. I can mod your xbox for you. Typical UPS shipping is $10-15 each way. You don't have to find someone in "your area".   biggrin.gif

I have excellent turn around time, and am very trustworthy. I will keep you involved in every step of the game, so you have no worries.

I have done this through the mail before, with great results!

I highly recommend feflicker. I procured his services recently through the mail. UPS delivery was very quick, 1 day delivery for Ground in fact. (Suggestion: check transit times on UPS' website). I scheduled it so that he received the box for the weekend, and it was back in the mail Monday (and on my doorstep Tuesday). He was very responsive to all emails, gave me full contact information, asked questions where necessary (eg. re: network setup), and did a great job installing switches as well. A very professional experience.

Take a look on this board and you'll see that he's actively involved here, and not just showing up soliciting business.

Hey everyone, things have been slow lately, Xbox's getting harder to come by  jester.gif

In the meantime, I went ahead and sent a request to have my installers post updated, and yes, I now officially (even though some of you sneaky mofo's have already contacted me and got yours done) have added Xbox360 services!

I just wanted to take a minute to thank everyone who came to me for their Xbox 1 needs, and let you all know that I can help you with your 360 as well  beerchug.gif \

As always, it is best to contact me via email, at: feflicker AT hotmail.com.

Just updated my prices and some of the info in this post...

Modding in AZ has been very slow! I was doing 2-3 mods a week in Jersey, down to 1 a month here in AZ! huh.gif

If you are in the Phoenix Metro area, shoot me a PM and lets get your xbox modded!  wink.gif

Regardless of where you are, if you are looking for an installer, we can do this through the mail too.  biggrin.gif

"Flash Samsung Drive: $40"

Doesn't it only cost $20 for the card to do it?

Actually, with a little diligence you could probably find a compatible SATA card for $10.

There is a lot more involved in flashing a drive than just having the compatible hardware though. I charge for my time, my guarantee of work, the risk involved, etc. Sometimes I have to do the "rubber band mod" to get a drive working, or tweak a pot, etc. Before you leave you see it work, or it is free, bottom line.

I charge what I feel makes providing the service worth my time. If anyone feels the pricing is unfair they are more than free to look for another installer who charges cheaper, does not bother me at all. Also, if I were to charge $10, or $20, or some other really low price, I would be inundated with requests for my service, mainly by kiddies. I factor that into my pricing as well.

Finally, if anyone needs help because they would like to try and do the mod themselves, I'll help where I can as well.

Fef has a real career outside of this so think about it for a min.

He has to spend time opening up your 360, do the flash, put it back together, check it 5 times over so everything is 100% working, last but DEFINITELY not least...putting up with people's crap and be a generous host when you come over.

i think 40 is very fair for this.  he doesnt charge extra when you ask him for tips and all that crap.  if he wanted to he can charge 40, do his job, and is not obligated to tell you what's going on.  his service to you is absolutely VIP status.

on top of everything he's been here for a very long time so he wont f0ck u over.  if you're gonna want cheaper service then go send it to some 15 year old for 10 bux and flip a coin to see if he jacks your sh!t.

Updated my prices and info again... Things are still slow back here in AZ. The few mod-jobs I have gotten have mostly been friends of friends.

I just want to say thanks to the people that have contacted me for modding services thusfar.

If you are thinking about modding your xbox, or have friends that want there xbox modded, and you don't feel like doing it, shoot me a PM. I guarantee my work and will do everything I can to do the best mod possible... Why order a "Matrix" and try it yourself, only to end up having problems, when you can pay someone a nominal fee and get an X2 soldered in with a pin-header  wink.gif

So why wait! Get it modded now!

Look at these prices and they don't even include the parts!
$20 for the 007 TSOP flash and you don't even use your own memcard/game?

You gotta be kidding!

I am not kidding. I have NEVER had a complaint about pricing.

Here is what you get for the $20:
- Take apart and re-assemble the xbox.
- Soldering the points to enable write to TSOP.
- Flashing the chip.
- Install EvoX and Apps to HDD.
- Full Backup of C & E (data cd).
- EvoX Emergency Boot CD.
- Whatever other "help" I can give.

Not to mention the risk I take opening someone elses xbox, working on it, etc. (Remember, if I break it, I buy it -- luckily I have never broken one). On top of that, I am taking the risk of doing business with someone whom I do not know. That in itself can be scary at times.

I don't have a memory card, so that is why it is required. If someone doesn't have the game I could always rent it. It is just easier if they have the parts. I added the TSOP flash by popular demand. I don't really like doing it, I was just helping some people out.

In addition, you are dealing with a member of X-S who has been helping people for over 6 months doing installs. You get the confidence that it will be done right, first try.

I end up spending over an hour, as you can see above, on the xbox. I ask $20 for that time. That is less than what I make at my real job in an hour.  dry.gif

Before you crap on someones post think about what you are saying/doing.  It is your money, if you don't think the price is fair, move on! wink.gif

What kind of Mod is this?  I have seen one that has:

1. Put in a disc and doesn't play until you select an added thing to the main menu

2. Burn Games and Dvd's to an installed Hard Drive so you don't need the disc.  The games can also be deleted.

3. Had a different Music Player.

4. Had choice of installing NES, SNES, Playstaition, or Dreamcast Emulator with EVERY game to that system.

Do you have Chips that do that?  And Also, what happens in in time, let's say a year, it just totally busts because of the chips?  And what would be the estimated cost for all that I listed above.

hey bro, ive spent about 5 hours trying to get this damned x2.2 lite + installed. i can get all the lights to work (albeit backwards, the d0 light will only come on when the chip is disabled), but my box reboots twice and then frags everytime i boot with the chip enabled. i know there is nothing wrong with the box as it boots normally when the chip is either removed or disabled.

so im thinking that the bios that came on the chip is either bad or non-existant. that, or the chip itself is bad. i live in scottsdale (68th st. and indian school), and wonder if you could give me a hand with this. i have no problem paying you $20 for an install, just let me know when and where!!!

I have never soldered in the RAM before, but quite frankly, I don't think I want to try it. I hope you understand, too much risk.

There is someone on the forum, I think one of the Xbox-Linux guys, who lives in Texas that has done this several times. Just make a post and I think you might even be able to get it done for free  wink.gif

As far as lifted traces, all you can really do is try to bridge the traces with 32 gauge wire, and hope it works. I can look at that for you if you want. And the new, working xbox, I can probably help you out there as well. Just PM me with details, that way we aren't hashing an entire deal out in this thread  beerchug.gif

Yeah, get your temps down.  Try to get mobo to 110, cpu to 130, or better  and your xbox will last a lot longer wink.gif

Depends... If you are getting errors using new retail discs, then yes. Otherwise it could be the brand of your media, the app you are using to make the iso, burning software, or the burner itself...

I like the 12v mod. The noise doesn't bother me since I have surround sound cranked when I play xbox anyway  jester.gif

i thought this was something to post.  cdr-w's do work pretty good but i also tried out original vcds from asia (they're regular cdrs but have silver buttom) do work too.  they dont with dvdx but they work with the media player and when it was reading it, it never even struggled or made any loud struggling noises.  just thought that was interesting (and my thompson wont read cd-rs btw like stated)

Its really hard giving your xbox away to some one you dont really even know at all. This person is the right one to give it away to

I know *exactly* what you mean... That is a big reason why I do this stuff. I like to help people out who could end up getting ripped off by someone else.  (e.g. some of these websites that do modding that never sent your xbox back) biggrin.gif

Thanks junchoon6. Glad to help!

Silverserver, glad we got you modded. I know you have been wanting to get this done for a while now! Glad you stuck with it. I am sure you will be happy, and have a lot less "free" time  biggrin.gif

Talk about a love fest!
I might have to drop you an email, my brother in-law and I just got xboxes for xmas.  We are looking to drop in a couple of large hard drives (locked) and mod chips.  As soon as we buy the equipment, I'll have to drop you a message.

Yeah, and to think, all I do is treat people like I would like to be treated... Seems to be a rarity these days!

Get ahold of me, I would be glad to help you out  beerchug.gif
