I'm looking to trade my HP NX7000 laptop for a nice desktop system + cash. I realize now that I just don't need this much power in a laptop, so I'm looking to get a desktop and a lower end notebook for note taking and light web use, etc. If you have a desktop + laptop deal you'd like to offer, feel free, but I'm almost positive that I'd like to go with a nice lower end Dell or similar.

LAPTOP SPECS:
- HP Compaq nx7000
- 15.4" WSXGA+ widescreen (1680x1050 max res)
- 1.6ghz Pentium M processor
- 512mb RAM
- ATI Mobility Radeon 9200 w/64mb DDR
- 60 GB HDD
- DVD/CDRW combo drive
- Integrated wireless (802.11b)
- Ethernet/ 56k Modem
- USB 2.0/firewire/bluetooth/SD card reader/S-video/VGA out/IR/1 PCMCIA slot
- Battery life - a little over 2 hours gaming/DVD - 4 hours+ internet and light use

The laptop is in excellent condition. worth used about $1200. There is nothing functionally wrong with it at all. It has been updated to the newest bios which fixes a keyboard issue this laptop was known for. It has also been tested with HP's memory program to assure the RAM is fine (it is). The only cosmetic issues on the laptop is a roughly one inch scratch on the upper right side of the outer casing (pictures to come). Also, the ATi sticker on the wrist rest is wearing down a bit, and the right side of the space bar shows slight wear from use. Again, this is all cosmetic and does not affect the laptop at all.

WHAT I'M LOOKING FOR:

I want a decent desktop system. It'll be used for gaming, internet, word processing, etc. It needs to be able to play Doom3 at a decent rate, ie good speeds at Medium or High at 800x600 or 1024x768. I HIGHLY prefer Athlon XPs, and I HIGHLY prefer ATi video cards. Feel free to offer anything, however... just know that I will be much much more interested with an AMD/ATi system. I don't overclock, so that won't mean much to me.

Rough specs I'm looking for are:

- Smaller case - mid-tower, SFF... a nice Shuttle would be PERFECT!
- Nice stable mobo, brand name (Asus, DFI, Abit, etc)
- AthlonXP 2500+ or higher
- 512mb DDR minimum. Again no OC'ing here, needs to be stable, good name.
- 80gb + HDD 8mb cache
- ATi 9500PRO as a MINIMUM... prefer something like a 9600XT
- Doesn't even really need any optical drives, floppies, but if you have em, go ahead and let me know.

I need the computer only... no keyb, mouse, monitor, speakers.


As I said, I'm looking for a desktop + cash. I'm hoping to put the cash towards a new lower end Dell or similar, so if someone has a relatively new laptop + desktop they'd like to trade, I'd consider that as well. This is obviously a long shot though, hence the trade + cash.
