It doesn't help
-
you changed the forward ? .. do you have another firewall running ?

Well I have my antivirus, 2 sec and I will try to disable it.
It works for 20 sec. and then it says the message again, that it was unreachable.
-
your being blocked by a firewall .. are you sure your forward is to the PC now ?
in the kai config try enabling PAT ..
-
I've tried to type ipconfig in my command. It shows that my IP adress end with 3, I forwarded that IP in my router and I also set the IP on my static ip lan connection. I have enabling PAT i Kai Config.
My antivirus is diasbled
I've also removed the firewall from the lan connection.
When I start the the Xlink Kai it shows that it is connected to the IP, that my Xbox is found and that it is connected to Xlink server. After 20 sec. it shows the message "Unreachable"
I think I have done everything correct, but it sounds like it doesnt work. I hope you still can help me.
-
it might help if you really know your IP .. the picture right above in your first post shows your PC IP as 192.168.2.4 .. you forwarded to 192.168.2.1 .. now your telling me that your PC IP is 192.168.2.3 ?? .. might want to get that sorted before carrying on .. you need to forward to the PC running kai ..
are you sure you have no firewall running ? the XP one ? .. what is your network setup ? .. if your using DSL than your 'modem' is a router as well and has a firewall ..

(IMG:http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/1936/systemiy6.jpg)
I have disabled every single firewall, it means that I have disable XP and my antivirus. But I dont know if my router has a firewall?
-
if your using DSL than your 'modem' is a router as well and has a firewall .. what kind of modem is it ?
make sure your forwarded to whatever the PC's current IP is ..

I have now forwarded on my modem and router. I have desabled every firewall, it means XP's and my antivirus'. WHen I load the Xlink Kai, it was open in about 1 minute without problems, but right after the messeage shows again.
I have try to use XBconnect, and it works smooth I only have to disable my firewall and everything was working. Why is it so hard to get Xlink to work, I mean...
I hope still you can help me, because I want to use Xlink Kai and not XBconnect.

on your modem you have to forward to the router , i suggest using DMZ to the IP of the router ..
have you tried enabling PAT in the kai config and putting the kai port at 0 ..

I've now tried with port 0 and 30000. I have forwarded to my router and open the ports 30000 in my modem. The IP I have put in is the IP that have been showed on the homescreen in the router's configuration - 192.168.2.1....
It seems that it doesnt work.
I think that it is comes to an end...I know you have helped me alot c-2 but I think that I newer can play on Xlink Kai.

what IP on your modem did you forward to ? ..
did you try PAT ? ..

Hi, just checking in.... is your IP in port forwarding still 192.168.2.1, if so that is incorrect.
You need to enter the IP address of your PC that is running KAI. Sorry if you've alredy tried this, just trying to help.
Good Luck!!

No it is not. But thanks for trying helping me.
My ip on my router is 192.168.2.3
and on my modem is it 192.168.2.1
-
thats right for your modem .. what IP is your router forwarded to ?
-
My modem has port forwarded to the IP 192.168.2.1 with port 30000
My router has port forwarded to IP 192.168.2.3 with port 30000
-
so thats wrong than .. you stated above ..
"My ip on my router is 192.168.2.3"
you have to forward to your PC not back to your router , that will never work ..
change that on your router to the IP of your PC ..
-

No it's my mistake...I just write quick...
My modem has port forwarded to the IP 192.168.2.1 with port 30000
My router has port forwarded to IP 192.168.2.3 with port 30000
And my static ip is 192.168.2.3.
So...
My IP on my router is 192.168.2.1
My IP on my modem is 10.0.0.2

I just want to make a reply so nobody misunderstand some information.
First of all I have made a static IP
1. Picture from the CMD (ipconfig /all)
(IMG:http://img530.imageshack.us/img530/3235/cmdpu1.jpg)
2. Picture from the LAN configuration
(IMG:http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/1649/lanah1.jpg)
3. Picture from my router, that shows its IP
(IMG:http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/4799/router1xw0.jpg)
4. Picture from my modem, that shows that I have forwarded all ports to the routers IP (192.168.2.1)
(IMG:http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/1232/modemuv3.jpg)
5. Picture from my router, it shows that I have forwarded to Xlink Kai (Port 30000, UDP)
(IMG:http://img257.imageshack.us/img257/4620/router2jw1.jpg)
6. Picture from the Xlink Kai Configuration
(IMG:http://img140.imageshack.us/img140/2476/xlink1dn4.jpg)
7. Picture that shows the error
(IMG:http://img527.imageshack.us/img527/22/xlink2ic7.jpg)
I have disabled every firewall I have. It means that I have disabled the firewall in Windows XP and my firewall on Kaspersky Internet Security.
I hope that this reply have set some points in place.

try with PAT on and off .. also try and set DMZ on your router to your PC as a test .. it looks like it should work ..
-

It didn't help to set DMZ on 192.168.2.3 with PAT on and off and it didn't help either with DMZ on 192.168.2.1 with PAT on and off.
I mean, is it because I have the world's strongest firewall or do I need something to regulate.

well something is blocking kai .. do you have any other software firewalls besides the XP one ? ..
try plugging the modem directly into the computer and see if it works ..

Well I have Kaspersky Antivirus, and when I pause the protection the same things happen. I can't try to plug my computer directly to my modem as my cable isn't long enough... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Reason: Connection timed out.
I just use http://canyouseeme.org/ at it seems that something a blocking Xlink Kai.

I am going to realize that I never can play on Xlink Kai which is very sad. But it cant give away to it that I really want to thank everybody for helping specially C-2. I just want to close this topic so you dont feel necessity or believe that Im waiting for a new answer every day. So I understand that nothing is impossible in this case, you are still welcome to leave an answer, but as I wrote before I dont want to spend peoples time on helping me, if something is wrong my computer.
Again Ill just thank everybody and Im grateful that some guys as you a spending time on helping people, just keep going that!
Best regards, Icoman.

ya i dunno what to tell ya man , that little port forward testing app works , i've tried it on port forwards on 6 different networks ..
try plugging the modem into just the LAN ports on the router so the DSL modem is the only router , than change the forward .. oh and you should turn off DHCP on the router if you try that ..

Yeah I'm not saying that the app didn't work, I just said that the result of the app was that it failed on port 30000

I tried that, but when I do that I can't connect to the internet. Yesterday I also try to put the computer directly to to modem, and Xlink didn't work.
I have also tried to run Xlink Kai on a computer in our house that didn't have any firewalls or something like that, and Xlink didn't work either there.

you can't connect to the internet because if you do this you have to change the IP on your computer to match the modem which above you stated is 10.0.0.2 .. so the computer / xbox would have to be in the same range , ie .. 10.0.0.3 and 10.0.0.4 or whatever ..
basically its a test to eliminate one of the 2 routers as thats where your problem lies , its not the firewall on your computer ..

So what do you think the problem is my modem/router or my Belkin Router? And what can I do about it?
-
ya the problem is that you have 2 routers .. try what i said .. plug the modem into the LAN port on the router so the router only acts as a switch than change the PC IP to the range of the modem .. on the modem change the forward to point to the new PC IP ..
-

As I can see it have made alot of problems for my other computers. I triede what you said, but it still says the same thing.
-
if it still says the same thing with just the DSL modem as the only router than its pretty obvious where the problem is ..
the other computers would need to have their IP's changed as well ..
