Mac Mini? If yes > The x86 Intel or good ol' Apple? If x86 > Did you try hooking off the Show Dangerous Nics button in KaiConfig.exe?
Edit: Never mind the system question, I didn't notice you ran XBC - which is a x86 Win app only.

Hi never said in 1st post that I now use win 2000 pro.
I used kai for many weeks on win 98 se with no problems.
Switched to dual boot with above windows and when I installed kai it took offence to all my nic in win 2000
I then tried it in win 98 and it took offence to my net gear wireless network adaptor (which works flawlessly I might add) then to my thompson adsl modem which I never used for kai etc. but it liked my usb nics in win 98 no wories.
Then I updated win 2000 in windows update problem solved.
days latter when I tried kai again it was back to same problem mini port drivers again.
I had a problem installing certain apps to win 2000 and found it was a registery entry which normally only applys to xp fixed reg entery problem solved again or so I thought.
Next day tried it again problem was back!
I need to find out how to do a dianostic on windows to find out what problem but unsure how to do that.
tried both options of not looking etc for dangerous nics but same problem
