I read somewere that it was posibble to run from a 56k is this true?

Actually this is possible, although games that use a lot of bandwidth wont play very well (brute force, halo). It only works well if you arent hosting, and its a 2-3 player game. You can use ICS to accomplish this.

56k works fine for some things - and it's awful for others... ie.. tony hawks 4 or timesplitters 2 will run fine with 2 players on 56k.. halo, on the other hand - no chance... well.. ive had it working 1 on 1, with a DSL host and 56k dialup client - and there was *some* lag but it was playable... not recommended though in rooms or WGN mode - it will just piss ppl off.. use messenger mode with a friend to try it all out..

i think what u meant to say was "most ppl have broadband, and get pissed off when 56kers join their games - because with some games it can make the whole game lag" ... whici is true.. however, as long as you stick to either just playing in messenger mode with ppl u know, or just *joining* rooms mode games which you know to be ok with 56k (ie th4) - then i dont think people will even know..

yeah basically most of us broadband users dont like lag at all on games because hey we have broadband lol it lags bad enough on some games already so i dont think too much people will appreciate dialups

If you want broadband ONLY, go play with LIVE.

Thats what its there for...

Everyone does not have broadband, hey and alot of people cant even get it even if they want too.

yeah that is also true but what would be the point of a game selection taht equals 2 maybe 3! that can only be played with a xbox or two connected
