I saw Crimson Skies is supported for Xlink to now, is anyone playing it, it sounds like a very good game for network play?

I played over the weekend.  Game is extremely fun.  But I think Rainbow Six will be taking all my online gaming time.

All system link games are supported, even ones not released yet. X-Link just simply added the game to the listing.

You can tell X-Link the game you are hosting is Halo, but really, it is like Midtown Madness 3 on the Xbox.

Thx for the info, though I knew it. My actual question was if anyone was going to play Crimson Skies on Xlink, since I'm doubting between a lot of good games, R6 3, Crimson Skies, Top Spin, Worms 3d.

This is gonna make me sound like a noob  but....   huh.gif

Is Rainbow Six like GRIT ??  Because I tried playing GRIT but couldn't get into it because I kept getting shot & really couldn't work out what to tell my squad to do or go?

If its like GRIT, I might invest in another game.

Any advise?

But, you did say you sounded like a noob, so i tryed to treat you like a noob. (ie. help you)

in my opinion.  my post was justified.

and also in my opinion your response is justified. (except for the ANAL refrence)

Plus.  can we leave it there....  im fed up with these perfectly good posts that end up being nothing but flames.

Top Spin really isn't working that great yet via system link. The game has a ping limit that won't allow you to see eachother.

I am on east coast in the U.S. and play with a guy from glasgow all the time...seems okay to me...

Topspin does not seem to me as though it has a great syslink implementation. sad.gif

I play regularly with a mate with a ping of between 40-60 and get intermittent lag which can seriously affect gameplay. I play MM3 and Crimson Skies on Xlink neither of which seem to lag at all even with 6+ players....

My conclusion was that it was Topspin itself that causes this. Can anyone add to this?

Well, I think I won't be playing Rainbow6 (much) since voicechat is almost needed to play the game, since i have no headset ...

Im yet to play Top Spin yet, but Brute Force has the same thing implemented. I can remember trying to play Brute Force, and it woudnt pick up the other persons xbox, must have a cap ping whereas only low pings are allowed to be seen? this would be gay if more games are doing this.

Yet, for Top Spin i can understand why they are doing this, if there is ANY lag in this game, as its been said it can seriously affect the gameplay, coz the game is so tight, a bit of lag is not good. Whats it play like on LIVE people? any lag ?

my 3 cents.. ph34r.gif

I havnt had any problems with ping in TopSpin
played a few ppl with pings up to 400 with lag
BW seems to be the problem sometimes need at least 5Kb/s up

Edit: never had any problems not being able to join a game or see a game... just my experiance
