Title: Xbox Live Not Found
Post by: freesafety13 on March 23, 2007, 01:24:00 PM
i too bought a "virgin" eeprom from zodiiac since i was upgrading my hdd (i wasnt and never have been banned) and ever since i have gotten the xbox live not found response.  also if you try to flash the new eeprom with configmagic, it will be accepted and it will generate a new hdd locking password, but, however, if you use unleash-x to update your virtual eeprom from a backup it makes of the newly flashed eeprom you will get frag.  why does this happen, there is only one explanation i can think of.  zodiiac is using configmagic to construct eeprom's that will go as far as generating a new hdd lock password but will not completely update the virtual memory.  which is why both of us are getting the xyz codes we are.  zodiiac has been running a scam and from the amount of people who have this problem after flashing a new eeprom with configmagic, he's been running it for a while.  i obviously have no direct proof of this other than the insurmountable evidence that supports it along with my own personal experience.

i just happened to post a similar problem just yesterday, heres the link

hahahahahhahaa, Zodiiak has not been "generating EEPROMS" at all, in fact so many people have tried to make a generator and have failed I don't think Zodiiak would be able to do it himself.

Have you tried trouble shooting your xbox live at all?

Have you tried your account on another xbxo with the same connection (ie another xbox where yours is now)?

Have you tried reflashing the eeprom with the code and then relocking the hard drive?

Also freesafety, he states his code has been working fine for over a year, I don't think Zodiiak made expiring EEPROMs do you?

UnleashX is not a very stable way to reflash your EEPROM or at least when I've used it - they may have improved it. Config Magic on the other hand has always worked for me

he stated that the xbox worked fine but just now recently tried to sign on to live.  my live hasnt worked since i flashed with the new eeprom.  also, if i flash the new eeprom and lock the hdd with configmagic and then reboot i get frag, because the eeprom isnt actually flashing, or its from the wrong version.  after it frags i have to unlock it using the new eeprom and xboxhdm, then relock it with the original eerpom and xboxhdm.  no matter what i use to flash it, it doesnt work.

edit

my xyz looks like this

x  0000-f001
y  0000-0000
z  0000-0000

i didnt see any mention of this xyz configuration in the sticky and that was the first place i looked.  if i missed it, i'm sorry.

Hmmm, I haven't done any of it in awhile, I will probably have to check up on the flashing deal, what happens if you reflash the new eeprom and don't lock the hard drive?

I actually don't lock any of my hard drives for safety reasons - though I don't play live on them. I had a box brick on me and I couldn't pull any data off because it was locked sad.gif lesson learned.

Might be a long shot, have you considered reinstalling the stock dashboard? That'd wipe out xbox live and do a clean install of it and it may fix the problem.

Hmm, really odd, I don't know quite what to tell you, I wish I knew more about the XYZ codes I took a quick look at the stickied thread and didn't see anything off the bat regarding a problem similar to yours.

Knowing the account is fine and works, and that you've redone the dashboard.

Now you said you have the X3? Have you tried uploading different bios to the chip? Or could it's disable live function somehow still be enabled? I know certain Xecuter Bios will do that but dunno if it's part of the X3 Config Live or whatever it's called, I haven't used my X3 chip in awhile sad.gif

I have the same theory on zodiak. Bought two eeproms from him with same error. Fool me once shame on him, fool me twice shame on me.

Will never do business with him again. Crooked or not he won't get my business
