Hello can anyone tell me if it is possible to connect to xbox live with a softmoded xbox, i really don't want to go beyond that... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
if so how?...

Yes you can connect with a softmodded xbox, but not while the softmod is on. you must cold boot and run stock to connect to live. Almost all new softmods are now live blocking meaning that you can't go on with the hacked bios running even if you try.

well thankyou for replying, people just look at the forum and go away... but back to the question... i mean like getting on xbox live while you have the softmod on, any possible way, if not can you answer why the new softmods are disabling this feature?.... thnks

With the softmod on? no you cant, at least with all new builds. It is disabled because you will be banned within hours of logging in with your mod on. The hacked bios are detected and you are banned from live. There are ways around that but it requires some dough to get back on. Im guessing you want to use your backups on live, and the simple answer is you can't, you must have the original disc and be running stock to play on live.

But who would want to be on live for a few hours just to be banned? And isnt that fw for the 360?

Almost all BIOS in circulation now block live. There are some older ones that let you sign in, but like I stated above, YOU WILL GET BANNED IN A MATTER OF HOURS if you log in with you hacked bios running, and there is no advantage to going on live with a Modchip/hacked bios on. The only thing that happens is you get banned, and can no longer go on live. You have to spend $$$ to allow your xbox to go on again. There is a reason that 98% of new bios come with live blocking.

well lets say i want to get banned, i wont use that account, cause it will expire and i am going to cancel it anyways

MS doesn't ban by accounts, it bans by individual Xboxes. You can get banned and still use your gamertag on another Xbox. When you sign on with hacked BIOS, Live marks your system's EEPROM as banned. Until you get a new, unbanned EEPROM and install it (quite difficult, I assume) you can't use Live on the banned Xbox ever again.

ya u can but i dont recomend playing with the mods people give u lots of crap and u might get band if u get caught, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
