Title: Bad Ping On Xbc, Does Ping Matter For Xbl?

I have bad ping on XBconnect because we have cable phone(sucks, dont get it).  Does ping matter for Xbox Live?

This is complete bullshit.  This digital phone crap we have is garbage.  And time warner has the worst customer service anyone will ever get.  We have called 2 times and both people told us to do 2 completely different things that had nothing at all to do with online gaming.  What makes me mad the most is that we pay for the internet and dont you think playing online is an internet feature that should be usable?  Well I guess i will try my 1 month XBL and see what happens(I am guessing it will lag), but I really want to play online because that WAS like 75% of my gaming.
