I'm quite sure you need to lock the HDD before you attempt to go on live.

Your post is pretty confusing but I think you will be fine IF you lock the HDD.

You've got a new EEPROM and a new HDD, you should be good to go.

LOL, yes. I was going to relock it after getting the eeprom reflashed.

yes replacing the hd and eprom will unban you but sence your gamertag is flaged if you have any kinds of mods on that xbox you will get banned again. if you get a new gamertage you will be fine even with mods on the system unless you try to go on live in a modded state of course.

No, I bought the xbox after the guy got banned from Live. My Live account isn't flagged, and I'm wanting to use my account on the banned xbox by installing an unlocked HDD with an unbanned eeprom.

You got it right girl (I assume you're a female from your Name here)

As long as you relock the UNBANNED unlocked HD with your new eeprom, it should work fine... and since your gamertag has never been banned... you're good to enjoy Live!.
