the eeprom and HD get banned, so you need to repalce both of them (unfortunately)

) because I was distracted whle putting in Halo 2 for some online play and forgot to turn the chip off so once I put in my password I was like "SHIT! I forgot!" and hit the power button as fast as possible but nope, banned the next day. I've been meaning to update my bios but just never got around to it so I guess I'll be getting a new unmodded Xbox later on.
Not really mad since it was my own fault.
